dvlpmnt, no contribution can be so good that it excuses shit behaviour. Someone so ready to sling expletives at other community members as you are is certainly not a "super user" of whom we need more. If experienced mappers are allowed to get a way with insulting others at the first opportunity, this falls back on OSM and will turn off those new contributors that the region dearly needs. So please: Lead with good example, don't explode just because someone dares to criticise something you did, and yes, please use good changeset comments as exercised by thousands of experienced mappers around the globe - so that newbies can see how OSM contributions ought to be.

Martien, please do not discourage people from mapping. What you have done here runs 100% against what OpenStreetMap is for. If HOT cannot accept OpenStreetMap's values then HOT must find another database, and stop using OpenStreetMap. Please stop giving your project participants instructions that are detrimental to the goals of OpenStreetMap.

I think we have seen enough. This import will be reverted. A prior discussion as mandated by the import guidelines could have unearthed these issues (namely lack of data quality and lack of proper review) before we all spent lots of time and CPU cycles on it. Please keep that in mind for next time.

Two corrections:

1. I was mistaken when I spoke of highway=driveway2 above, of course it is service=driveway2 and the fact that this is not known to most of software will make these highways look MORE prominent than a standard driveway. One wonders why e.g. way/1087949999 does need to be more prominent than a standard driveway.

2. It might have made sense to, instead of just deleting service=driveway2, convert it into service=driveway. Those are the things that only a proper discussion can decide.

I think that using "highway=driveway2" is a very bad idea - it is a bad choice of tags, and it will mean that the information is lost to 95% of software which simply ignores this unknown and esoteric highway category. I would never use it, and if I came across it on an object I was editing for some other reason, I would certainly change it to something different.

I am pretty sure that, were a proper discussion held on the tagging or talk mailing lists, an agreement could be found to automatically convert this tag like user ZeLoneWolf has done here.

However, quoting a one-year-old statement from me does *not* constitute proper discussion as required by the mechanical edit guidelines.

Therefore, @ZeLoneWolf, please revert your edit, and seek community consensus for this. Then you may make the change again. Being in the business as long as you are, one would hope that you know the rules by now!

I am reverting this changeset because under the innocent label "Redesigned West Imio" you have actually entrenched Greek nationalist viewpoints by removing Turkish names. You are allowed to change the geometry of these islands but you are not allowed to use OSM to push one-sided political viewpoints.

It appears that it is fixed now, and it was only a slow rendering issue. Sorry.

The area of this changeset is a jumble of erroneous multi-lane highways. This needs to be repaired. Is this something that you can do yourself? Otherwise we might have to revert your recent lane edits.

Hello GermanDeaf, please provide accurate changeset descriptions. The changeset comment field should be used to describe what you have done (and why). The date when the changeset was uploaded is already recorded automatically, hence "Map Miércoles, 24 de agosto de 2022" is not useful.

Please note that this vandalism changeset was created not by the long-time OSM user "archie" but by someone trying to tarnish their reputation by impersonating him with UTF-8 trickery. The variant of "archie" that has performed the vandalism has been blocked.

Dear Santanaloba53, please adhere to correct capitalisation when specifying place nams. I am pretty sure that initial capital letters are used in Spanish (i.e. Charco de Palomas, not carcho de palomas)! Please also specify your data source when adding place names. You have recorded this as a "village", however I can only see trees on the aerial image. Is this a mistake?

Hello Santanaloba53, it appears that you have difficulties in editing boundaries. You have created a relation relation/7394873 which is not a proper polygon, and which contains the same ways four or five times. Please, before trying to make further edits to any boundaries in OSM, find someone who can explain to you how to do this properly. Currently you are damaging existing data and other mappers have to repair it again!
