Is there any indication that your "Southernmost continental point of Eurasia" is indeed a "tourist attraction"? Is there any signage on the ground? It appears to me that you have imported a lot of "extreme points" from Wikidata just based on the fact that they are "extreme points". It is easy to use OSM to compute the extreme points of each country but will we add all of them to OSM as "tourist attractions"?

Aus der Entfernung würde ich es so einschätzen, dass 90% der Wanderer an jedem der beiden Enden umdrehen und einen der parallelen Wege einschlagen würden. Wie dick müssten die Stämme der Bäumchen werden, bevor Du sagst: "Ok, da ist wirklich kein Weg mehr"?

Ich sehe da ein gewisses Dilemma. Der "offizielle" Weg scheint tatsächlich hier entlang zu gehen, aber wirklich sinnvoll ist das nicht, wenn ich mir die Beschreibungen den X2 auf den Seiten durchlese, klingt das alles so nach Spaziergang mit Kinderwagen, und wenn die Betreiber solche Passagen erlauben, müssten sie das zumindest in der Dokumentation erwähnen. Vielleicht sollten wir uns mal unter Verweis auf die Mapillary-Bilder an die Wegbetreiber wenden und fragen, ob dieser Wegverlauf ihr Ernst ist. Vermutlich ist das ein Fehler, und der Weg sollte eigentlich über den Fußweg "Zur Ikel" westlich gehen.

Hallo Moosfrosch, es wäre gut, wenn Du den Ball ein bisschen flach halten könntest mit diesen Vandalismus-Anschuldigungen. Ein Vandale in OSM ist einer, der aus Spaß Sachen kaputt macht und dem OSM scheißegal ist - nicht jemand mit zigtausend Edits, der nach Ortsbesichtigung einen Weg entfernt, der ihm nicht zu existieren scheint!

Mich wundert, dass ein Weg, der überwachsen ist und tiefe Äste hat und nach Deiner eigenen Aussage eine Sichtbarkeit von "very_bad" hat, dennoch Teil eines Fernwanderwegs sein soll. Befinden sich denn auf irgendeiner Seite dieses Weges entsprechende Wegweiser, die darauf hindeuten, dass dieses kaum als Weg erkennbare Stück zum Fernwanderweg gehört, oder woher kommt dieses Wissen? Ist das denn der normale Standard eines SGV-Fernwanderwegs?

I am in the process of reverting changeset/136431269 which deleted a lot of buildings in this area. It is possible that the buildings added in this changeset here will have to be re-checked afterwards to ensure they are not duplicates of the restored buildings.

Hallo gebux, die DWG hat eine Beschwerde erhalten bezüglich einer Radroute auf Komoot (""), und zwar geht es um einen großen Teil des Ways 231027478, den Du in diesem Changeset bearbeitet hast. Angeblich seien da eine Schranke und Schilder, die die Benutzung verbieten. Es wurde vor 6 Tagen bereits eine anonyme "Note" dazu erstellt, ich erstelle gleich noch zusätzlich zwei Notes zum angeblichen Anfang und Ende des Privatweges. Hast Du die notwendige Ortskenntnis, um dazu etwas sagen zu können? Manchmal sind Grundeigentümer ja auch übereifrig und wollen gern etwas sperren, was durchaus öffentlich nutzbar ist...

stevea, thank you for your effort though I still think it might be in vain, and the relations might have to be deleted - you have reduced the "this relation makes mapping hell for people" problem but not the "this isn't really something that can be verified/observed" problem.

In this changeset you have created a railway "superroute" that meanwhile has grown to over 18k members. Is this really an observable, verifiable object that deserves to be in OSM? You describe it as a "corridor" but what has been mapped is a very precise line of meanwhile over 18.000 pieces of railway track. Frankly I think that it should be deleted & I will post on the community forum about it to involve more community members in the discussion.

Problem is, it's now the school wanting it removed so if all we have to go on is "I remember it from a map I was given but I don't remember what that map was or whether indeed it might have been copyrighted" then I fear we'll have to remove it altogether.

Hi, what data source have you used to add "Ruby's Knoll" to OSM - where did you get the name from? Asking because the DWG has received a complaint about this feature and I would like to find out more. (DWG Ticket#2023051310000021)

Please refrain from making edits in this area that are suitable to further stoke tensions. The previous mapping as highway=path, foot=yes was perfectly fine for OSM and there was no need to "make this consistent".

It is correct that we don't use the name tag for descriptions (e.g. "name=path from x to y" or "name=rest area" or so). However, it is highly unusual for an aerodrome not to have a name, is it not? People flying to this aerodrome will likely say that they went to "Aérodrome de Montardoise" and not to "some aerodrome near Montardoise"...?

Hello Rom1, in this changeset you have removed the name of the Aérodrome de Montardoise (way/612354846/) for the second time. Why? The PDF source supplied seems to support that name.

zluuzki, your argument might have a leg to stand on if you had indeed only deleted "trashy" power lines that were untouched for 12 years, but as I mentioned above, you have deleted (and since restored) at least one that was last modified 8 days ago which casts doubts on your selection process. If you could make it a habit to discuss any such large projects with the community in advance - "i plan to overhaul power lines in the area of X, for this i want to delete all that match the criterion Y and then retrace using the source Z, any complaints?" - then mistakes such as this could be spotted before the damage is done and before you find yourself yet again in a situation where you backpedal while at the same time offending everyone who dared criticize your work...

zluuzki, this edit has indeed removed valid and valuable data that had been much improved since being imported from TIGER, e.g. way/13569197 - please revert your deletion. Replacing TIGER imports with well-done tracing is a commendable effort but you should only delete the lines at the time of re-tracing them, not months before, and you should not delete lines that have already been painstakingly re-traced (even if the users doing so have accidentally not removed the tiger:reviewed=no tag).
