Hi, given that the changeset message mentions a proprietary map provider, please note that it is not allowed to take any information from JS maps.
In case any information remains in OSM from that provider, it should be re-surveyed from valid sources, or removed.

Parasti jau nevajag ļoti garus komentārus, pietiek ar dažiem vārdiem, kas būs dažas, ne daždesmit sekundes.
Mums dažreiz var šķist, ka mūsu rediģēšanu citi īsti pat nepamana, bet Latvijas kopiena aug, un biežāk sanāk saskarties ar citu kartētāju izmaiņām.
Izmaiņu apraksti, kaut pāris vārdi, var noderēt citiem kopienas dalībniekiem - un tad jau laika ieguvums ir tajā, ka viņiem ir lielāka skaidrība par mūsu paveikto, un visi kopā mēs ietaupām laiku.

Heya, thank you for the great map improvements :)

In this changeset, some name=* tags were added to buildings - but those were just addresses.
In OSM, address tags are structured in addr:street and addr:housenumber tags, among others.
Names are used only for objects that actually have names.

I've removed addresses-as-names from some buildings, and if you spot any other places like that, please feel free to remove them as well.
In Latvia, address data is imported from official VZD data, thus any address related issues are best discussed in the community, for example, the Signal group: https://signal.group/#CjQKIBQDZFRYENhgTzY0czaSnYxt6-NCXdW5Rp2o6144bO4wEhCUSXKPmsjKnTbzUgLj0MpL .

Hi, thank you so much for the map improvements. The road classification change unclassified->track would need community discussion and consensus, though - I've reverted this changeset for now.

Additionally, in this changeset alt_name and isolated_dwelling tags were removed (this got reverted in bulk for now).
What was the reasoning behind that?

Please note that this is in no way indicating that the changes are good or not good, the main concern is the need to discuss mass changes.

I doubt my residential area change made a difference here - it actually had started rendering as expected before the change, I just had not refreshed it all.
Given the complexity of that multipolygon (just look at the number of inner ways), I'll just be glad it looks mostly OK now :)

Seems to be rendered as expected even before my latest changes, though.
The multipolygon is crazy, not seeing anything obvious that could have affected this.

The overlap causing this seems weird, as the residential area isn't a member of the multipolygon.
I've removed the overlap anyway, let's see whether it helps any.

There's a relatively fresh sign one building there with the name, but overall it seems likely that this will turn into a mostly summer house area. keeping it "residential" might indeed be the best option right now.

That "attraction" seems wrong, haha. As a minimum, it's likely "loc_name" :)

This added way/1069549979 , but it's not quite residential landuse, filled with building=cabin .
Looking at the landuse and leisure tag wikipages, cannot find anything better, though.
Maybe tourism=camp_site fits, but it could mislead tourists, as it doesn't seem to offer anything short-term.

I usually leave such tiny islands/islets untagged, but either way seems fine.

Perhaps way/1028666803 should be place=islet, or not have place tag at all?

More micromapping possible almost always (surveillance cameras? lamp posts?), but from the dedicated survey point of view, I'd say this is good enough.

I guess I kept living_street classification from this original way when I was splitting it: way/989378384/history .
As it's all work-in-progress there, I'm fine with either classification :)

As far as I recall, it's not market as living street (yet?).
