Merci Martin pour ces mise-a-jour de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Vous avez modifié la clé OSM décrivant l'Office de tourisme de bureau touristique a gare de chemin de fer. Je confirme que cette ancienne gare est maintenant bureau touristique. Il y a déja un point pour indiquer le bureeau et l'objet immeuble était utilisé pour indiquer le lieu historique. Je vais remettre comme avant a moins que l'on trouve mieux pour indiquer une ancienne gare maintenant utilisée pour d'autres services.

If you look at my the history of the various infrastrucxturs north of Quebec, you will see that I am a major contributor for this ara and I have mapped / revised / documented quite a lot, I assure that insfrastructures are traced. I trace / revise powerlines, powerstations, dams, roads, mining facilities, etc, going through existing infrastructures and document these. There is no massive import or edit from my part :)

Thanks to contribute to this OSM humanitarain response. Note that job 5602 id resrerved to experience contributors using the JOSM editor and that have the hability to realign this imagery with the Bing Reference imagery.
The buildings you traced are not properly aligned and some overlaps over roads.

Ok je vais réviser, couper en 3 sections, et au-dessus de la route je vais indiquer building=roof.

Yan, la route de service que tu as tracé dans le parc industriel de Valleyfield semble passer sous un immeuble, ce que je ne peux personnellement confirmer ne connaissant pas les lieux. Dans un tel cas, il faudrait couper la route en trois sections, et pour la section du milieu ajouter tunnel = building_passage. Voir aussi les commentaires suite a une édition aujourd'hui dans le secteur changeset/64358578

A ne pas oublier que OSM est un travail collaboratif et que la communication est importante. Veuillez mieux décrire le contenu des modifications dans le commentaire d'édition et communiquer si nécessaire avec le contributeur local, celui-ci ayant une meilleure connaissance des lieux. Vous avez modifié le travail d'un contributeur local connaissant bien le secteur. Vous avez notamment effacé trois bâtiments dont la géométrie et la localisation pouvaient être améliorées id:526518483, 526518481, 424647490. N'effacer que si vraiment nécessaire. Note that the tagging schema for various features evolve constantly in OSM There are some recommended taggings. Sometimes voted only by a few persons. Also some develop new tagging schema that may later be adopted or not by others. If you look at http://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/ you will see that there are thousand of substations combined with landuse and this around the world. This is adopted by many contributors and did exist before the discussion you refer to.

You missinterpret the discussion about Nominatim. Like many, I think that OSM contributors should have the opportunity to discuss with developpers in a respectuous context.

There is not a unique way to tag in OSM and wars to controls other contributors are not accepted. You seem to be a relative new contributor. I suggest you learn the rules of OSM and stop imposing your views by deleting others contributions. This is not the first advice you have from members of te community.

Please stop to come and revert edits pretending contributors tag for Nominatim and they have been advised. How do you justify that we cannot tag landuse for power substations areas ? Do you represent the DWG ?

Vous avez effacé des chemins dont la géométrie était très bonne. Cette pratique n'est pas acceptable, pour simplement ajouter des pilones supplémentaires. Ce n'est pas vous qui avez documenté les caractéristiques de cette ligne a haute tension et nous tenons à conserver l'information sur les contributeurs qui ont réalisé ce travail. Cessez svp d'effacer systématiquement les chemins pour les recréer ensuite.
