Changeset When Comment
136955256

Hello.
This changeset doesn't seem to be accurate to the conditions on the ground. Could you please elaborate what are you trying to map here?

maybe it's just somebody's lot and they mow it whenever..

Is this path accurate?
Looking at street imagery from Sept 2022 it looks like totally impassable overgrown area

Also another issue I noticed with this specific edit is that the way you edited way/512131350, which is the indoor area. The building itself is way/1104125894. So I removed roof tags from this way.

Hello.
You tagged the whole Hudson bay as not allowing dogs. That doesn't seem correct or relevant tag for the bay..

Hello.
The fact that you deleted this node not only destroyed the history of this object, which can be useful to refer to in the future, but you also made this address unsearchable.
Instead of outright deleting a node of a closed business, it's must better to use lifecycle prefixes as documented in osm.wiki/Lifecycle_prefix
Or at the very least leave the address tags intact and just delete the biz-specific tags.

Hello.
All these buildings are attached to each other on both sides, so they are most definitely NOT semidetached_house.
These should be tagged as apartment buildings.

Hello.
Are you sure that Ave M station doesn't have benches? I'm pretty sure all the subway stations south of New Kirk have them.

Rather than name= perhaps ref= tag would be more suitable?

Is this tag accurate? satellite imagery shows arrows in both directions

I don't think it's correct to tag it as recreation_ground or outdoor_seating.
landuse=recreation_ground
This is just a regular pedestrian street with some shops and benches.

Hello.
Please note that amenity=disused:restaurant is an invalid value.
What you are looking for is a lifecycle tag prefix osm.wiki/Tag:disused:amenity=.
You can read more about it at osm.wiki/Lifecycle_prefix

I don't understand what you are saying.
Yes, there are other street relations. Yes, they should be looked over and perhaps considered if they are necessary.
I saw you make this edit and commented on it.
There are only so many hours in the day to edit maps. One step at a time. Handle this relation and at a later point handle other.

136712378

Unless I'm misreading the satellite imagery, it's still "flat", isn't it? While the glass structure is round, the roof itself is flat, no?

135689512

It is when it is necessary.
But when it adds no value to the map, it is unnecessary extra work and hassle.

135689512

It seems like this relation adds nothing to the map that is not already represented by the existing ways and tags.
You say "used to bind scattered elements", but Wall Street is not scattered and all 4 ways are contiguous and connected to each other.
I'm not "bothered", but my concern with adding relation is that they complicate editing the map requiring extra steps to make sure relation remains intact and add/remove ways in that relation as needed.

I don't think it's incorrect to have both area and ways. Crossing highways warning is probably just a matter of connecting them at the intersection points.
But as the warning states, I don't think there are any routers which support navigation through areas, so without ways these areas are unroutable..

136767708

Hello.
Perhaps it's better to leave these ways in place and instead tag them as "access=no" or "access=emergency"?

Hello.
Why did you delete name= tag here? It is intended for the default, local language, which in US is English.

Hello.
When you merged some of these POIs they got 2 different zipcodes. That can't correct since zip codes are not overlapping.
