Hi Kiss_Karoly; could it be that you accidentally used "disused:amenity" instead of "amenity"? Or is the restaurant really closed?

Some applications only use the Overpass API to get information from POIs. Now you can no longer get the address from this node. Or is there a way to get to an inherited address via the API? I haven't found it yet.

Ich bin schon etwas länger dabei, habe mich lokal aber bisher nicht vernetzt.

Die Gewege als Flächen zu mappen finde ich auch gut, aber die Flächen taugen nicht fürs Routing. Deshalb steht im Wiki [2] auch zu den Gehwegflächen:

"Don't create an area:highway=footway area without also creating a linear highway=footway way along the centerline of the footway."

[2] area:highway=footway

OK, that makes sense. The real problem is that someone put the name of the city under "addr:place". I didn't see that when I added the city name correctly under "addr:city".

The correct step now seems to be to remove "addr:place". I'm doing that now. Thanks for the hint!

Mir ist aufgefallen, dass in vielen Städten die Detailtiefe immer mehr ansteigt und auch immer öfter die Gehwege separat gemappt werden. Soweit ich es dem Wiki entnehme [1] ist das auch nicht falsch so. Beide Varianten haben nur eben ihre Vor- und Nachteile (die auf der Wiki-Seite auch aufgeführt werden).

Ich finde das separate Mapping, zumindest so wie ich Karten verwende, sehr hilfreich bei der Orientierung, da ich viel zu Fuß und mit dem Rad unterwegs bin. Da ich gesehen habe, dass andere auch schon angefangen haben in Halle so zu mappen, habe ich mir nicht viel dabei gedacht das so weiterzuführen. Vielleicht bin ich hier aber auch etwas übers Ziel hinausgeschossen.

Die expliziten „Übergänge“, wo es nur implizite gibt, sind bei "meiner" Variante leider nötig fürs Fußgängerrouting.

Auch wenn ich das separate Mapping besser finde, sehe ich natürlich ein, dass wir hier einheitlich vorgehen sollten. Ich wäre also nicht sauer wenn jemand die separaten Wege wieder entfernt.

Wäre es sinnvoll noch andere Meinungen von Mappern in Halle einzuholen? Gibt es irgendeinen Kanal für Mapper in Halle?

Ich stelle meine Änderungen in der Richtung auf jeden Fall erstmal ein.

Wouldn't the Greek name of the street be a better choice anyway? This doesn't seem to be handled very consistently in Greece. I've seen both variants many times.

Where exactly in the wiki is something about this? Unfortunately I can't find it.
