You might also want to consider mapping other features on the ground if you have local knowledge about this place. e.g. schools, street names, banks, etc

Hi, even though imagery available in OpenStreetMap is ever changing and very out-of-date on this part of the world, not much would have changed in small villages around here. Kindly avoid massive tracing of every tiny way as "highway=residential".

Adding real features on the ground such as shops, schools, churches, street names, etc is much more helpful.

Please do not change tags if you are not sure about what you are doing. eg. changing a "landuse=residential" to "building=yes"

I am not sure what you are trying to map here but watch out not to add island ways.

Welcome to OpenStreetMap! It is best to improve existing objects either as a node of polygon rather that deleting and re-adding them.

I have restored the deleted hotel node, converted to area around hotel and removed the name from the building.

Hi,
the name field is reserved for the real name of feature eg. Old Fadama Basic School. Don't add "Fadama" as the name of buildings.

Also check for existing data, here buildings, not to add overlaps and duplicates.

You can remove the names from these buildings and also delete overlapping ones.

I have reverted this change because the imagery by default has an offset, which is no fault of yours but should not be used to add/delete existing data that might look wrongly mapped. Hi, there are many problems around here and I would have expected your mechanical edits to also take them into consideration. Just changing highway to residential value and leaving the generic name value of "path" does not help.

highway=path already means it's a path and does not required a descriptive name "path" .

Many of the features and attributes you have added here are problematic and can be improved.

The name field is to be used for the name of the features and should be in title case eg. Gbewaa Primary School not "GBEWAA PRIMARY SCHOOL".

The names of the roads should not be descriptions.

I would have expected that buildings within buildings also taken care of but your mechanical edits seems to very much overlook many real QAs

Hi, I think the automated removal of names here without discussions is not helpful.

It is usual for settlements or houses in these parts of Ghana to have names.

Can you provide documentation for you are using to remove names? I understand you are using OSM Privacy standards without any further clarifications.

Hi, thanks for mapping, unfortunately the word "filling station" is not part of the name but a descriptive text used to refer to amenity=fuel in Ghana. Can you kindly restore the name to "Goil" only.

Using only "#YouthMappers" as the only word in the changeset comment is not helpful to other mappers and yourself. Kindly use a short and more useful text, eg. "added buildings" in addition to your hashtags.
