| 61981026 | Hello Parsamparham and mueschel, I wanted to chime in on the access tags that I added to the ways in question in this changeset mueschel, you will have to excuse me for not resolving and getting back to you on the issue brought up in the following changeset [ changeset/61248171 ], I had the intention of doing so, the problem is that I have various issues pield one on top of another, that is why it takes me a while to resolve certain issues [ https://i.imgur.com/aWIaDgp.png ] - this image represents the information that is displayed on a traffic sign along this road, what the sign essentially informs the driver is that 'public transport' is 'prohibited' from using the 'rightmost lane' during 'weekdays from 05:00-22:00', the same lane is otherwise used as a no parking lane during the periods in which the access condition is being enforced, one of the reasons I wanted to find the appropriate tag to use to represent what the traffic sign enforces is because this same traffic sign is located on other roads as well, as mueschel denoted in the aforementioned changeset, the access condition that should be used to represent the restriction displayed on the traffic sign should be - 'bus:lanes:conditional = |||designated @ (Mo-Fr 05:00-22:00)', 'access:lanes:conditional = |||no @ (Mo-Fr 05:00-22:00)' the following is the message that I intended on posting in regards to the access condition tags I wanted reviewed in the changeset of the hyperlink mentioned above: Thanks for confirming that for me mueschel, I was not sure whether the way I composed that tag was correct, some of the articles published on OpenStreetMaps' wiki describe concepts in ways that I sometimes have a hard time rapping my head around, I wish the examples were represented more visually so that I could better comprehend them, I also wish that the iD editor would allow the user to designate tags through a more intuitively visual interface rather than through the use of tags (similar to how the relation:restriction tool works in the iD editor - https://i.imgur.com/hUkb4kf.png), that way the user could have a more visual representation of what they want to convey aside from this issue, do either of you know of a way to omit certain GPX traces from the Public GPS Traces repository, some are of dubious quality, others no longer represent the current state of a road |

| 61519083 | Hi moviebuffAS, I noticed that you changed the restriction of the following node in this changeset from 'no_left_turn' to 'no_right_turn' (that was actually wrong, but as I will describe in the following, the restriction on the node was wrong to begin with) - node/4328313491#map=20/-8.81130/13.25542&layers=G, reviewing the changes that you made to my prior edits in this changeset allowed me to realise that I made a poor choice in representing the correct restriction at the junction where the aforementioned node is located, the restriction along this way prohibits the execution of 'U-turns' at this junction from Rua Ndumduma heading west to the same heading east via the small portion of road connecting the two, I erroneously represented the no_u_turn restriction by designating the 'nodes' at this junction with a 'no_left_turn' restriction, however, left turns 'are' permitted at this junction (for those leaving Rua Ndumduma to enter 'Cristiano dos Santos'), although, as mentioned before, what is 'not' permitted are 'U-turns' (the following hyperlink shows a Mapiliary image of the same street, just a little further along) https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=rZVMcY6ruwN8U_9bE0z0xQ&focus=photo&lat=-8.81115719666667&lng=13.25273875138896&z=17 (if you consider all of the possible manoeuvres that can take place at this junction, you will figure a node is poorly suited to correctly represent the no_u_turn restriction that is in force at this junction), ultimately, I used iD's 'relation:restriction' tool to properly designate what the street sign instructs the driver not to do and the same for the opposite direction https://i.imgur.com/hUkb4kf.png, I wrote this comment because I thought it was something you should be made aware of |
