I don't know what is the correct naming for exits in Canada. You can ask the community. I am mostly responsible for standardizing road alignements and road tags in Quebec. Thanks!

I will need to revert this changeset. This is the way we map the motorways here, with precise lane merging according to exact lane centerlines, for autonomous vehicles and modelling and analysis requirements. You can propose a new changeset for the exit names though if you want. Thanks for your understanding!

Thanks! In fact, we usually use entrances according to their main functions:
entrance=shop : main entrance for customers and/or employees for a commercial or industrial building
entrance=main : main entrance for visitors and/or employees for a public building, a park pavillion or a social facility (like a retirement home with employees)
entrance=home : main entrance for residents of a residential building
We never used entrance=service before, but we may change its function as you suggest. Thanks!

Hi! This entrance is for both the employees of the residence (main entrance), and the residents themselves (home entrance). In our tools, we need both tags to be able to route residents to their home, and employees to the main entrance. Removing one of the tags makes it impossible to know that this entrance has a dual function. Can you explain why using both tags is problematic?

OK, sorry, I did not see that there was already a node with the same info. :-)

Can you explain a bit more what was wrong by setting the building as a subway station. This is a legit subway station...

Fixed, sorry!

Advertisement and/or too any details in the description tag (description tag was not necessary, so I removed it)

Please provide meaningful comments. Also, don't use another username to bypass block. You need to respond with the community if you want a long term involvment in OSM. Also, where do you get this information on proposed and construction roads? Do you have GPS traces? Do you have access to a map or something?

115587104

These roads don't exist, please tag as proposed and add sources!

115570685

Hey, what is this? These roads don't exist! Can you provide a source or explain what is the objective of these changesets?

115538861

Please provide sources for this information

Please use this offset in Bing image in the Montreal area: 0.6, -1.54

This is the correct aligment calculated with official geodesic data from Quebec government.

(use the "adjust imagery offset" setting in id editor)

Great, your wiki page is perfect, clean and simple with good examples. Thanks!

OK, thanks! Where can we find this in the wiki? How do we know that forward/backward should be before start/end?

Cette section dans le WIKI officiel est taggée: "This article or section contains questioned, contended or controversial information. See the talk page for more information."

113915888

If you also want to add the individual stopping points, say for use by a safety app (so that the exact stopping points have been recorded) do NOT remove the intersection node highway=stop, which confirms that this junction is an all-way stop.

113915888

Oui, effectivement, on peut alors conserver le stop all way au milieu de l'intersection et les 4 stops aux lignes d'arrêt.

113915888

J'ai modifié votre arrêt toute direction pour le placer aux lignes d'arrêt car de plus en plus de véhicules ont besoin de l'information précise sur la ligne d'arrêt (vénicules autonomes). Merci!
