Please do not remove road building passages. And also, the buildings were already aligned with official geodesic data.

136149613

Please do not remove cycleway connectors. This will make routing for bicycle problematic.

Ok, so this is legit, but please add a website, and some description, so other editors don't think it is ponctual information.

136106155

If this is recurrent or permanent, please add more information, like a website or something.

136106155

Please don't add ponctual meeting points. OpenStreetMap is for permanent data and not for specific events information. Thanks!

Chaire Mobilite is a research laboratory in Transporation at Polytechnique Montreal.
https://www.polymtl.ca/mobilite/
I am a research associate in this lab and the main OpenStreetMap editor in the team, but some times, there are students adding or validating data to.

Here are all the cases in the montreal area:

Please read this thread: https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/use-of-bicycle-designated-vs-bicycle-yes-outside-of-germany/3230/47
especially this part:
"However, because OSM-Carto puts the blue color on any path marked with bicycle=designated, I think it will continue to reoccur where people will use this tag in order to show a particular path as a bicycle path, irregardless of legal status."

I still suggest contacting the canadian mailing list to get a response from the community. Not mine to decide.

This data was added by a vandal who added fantasy motorways and roads. We decided to revert every of his changesets until we can deal with his behaviour. There may be some correct info but most is random incorrect or imprecise data, or plain vandalism.

If you look at
bicycle=designated
it is ambiguous. But most roads with bike lanes in the montreal area are tagged with bicycle=designated. I would suggest asking the talk-ca mailing list before changing them.

135851580

There is a bike lane, so it should stay designated. Why change it to yes?

135829317

In that case, please add:
landfill:waste=snow
so we can parse the data outside the note tag, which is difficult to read by automated tools.

135829317

I think there should be a better tag than using the name to specify that it is a snow depot. What was the issue using depot=snow?

HI! Thanks for updating Boulevard Montreal-Toronto, but please do not remove street names from sidewalks, since it is required to be able to route pedestrians with routing engines and give street name indications. Until there is a concensus on how to create street names relations, this is the best solution so far and this is the one we chose in the Quebec province.

There are traffic lights on this highway, so this is not a motorway. And it is not considered a motorway by the ministry of transportation. I will need to revert.

Hi! Why is this part of the cycleway not accessible to pedestrians? Is there a sign for this? I really think pedestrians would walk on the cycleway here and not on the road (a lot safer).

No problem! Have a nice day!

135269008

Please keep this cycling connector so cyclists can reach the cycling bridge across the motorway from Avenue Lakebreeze. Otherwise routing engines will force cyclists to detour to Lakeshore.
