hey, I asked at the community open day which confirmed the calculation of 80km/h (see above). But if you have a better source, please go ahead and change it

hmm, this seems to a major flaw with that QA tool. It also seems to reject route=light_rail which is just as widely used as these relation roles. Based on https://github.com/geofabrik/osmi_pubtrans3/pull/10 it seems like this QA tool has been abandoned, and basic fixes like this are not being accepted 😢 I've switched to a different tool now... https://cdn.organicmaps.app/subway/australia.html

Regarding the platforms - removed because platform_on_demand wasn't accepted, but I can add them back if we decide that we don't care what this abandoned QA tool thinks...

Hi, you requested a review of this edit: The way you mapped the kerbs/sidewalks/crossings is perfect and really nicely done.

However, it would be very helpful if you could use a meaningful comment when you upload your changes. This saves a lot of time for reviewers, and helps everyone to understand what you're trying to do.

There's some more info on this page: osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments

haha it was just as jam packed this time... maybe the new metro line will help next year

Hey, nice work, I noticed this edit since you clicked 'request review'.

You might have noticed that some gardens are not visible, like way/1291162453 If you want to try fix this, there is an advanced feature called 'MultiPolygons' which can solve the problem. To use this, select the pedestrian area and the garden, and press `c` to 'merge' them. This effectively punches a hole in the pedestrian area so the garden is visible. There's a good example of this just across the road: relation/13631905

Hi, could you please share some more information about this 'construction project'? I can't find any online sources which mention this, and it's not visible in any aerial imagery

152328345

sorry, it's fixed now

Hi, roads should only be split into 2 directions if there is a physical barrier inbetween. There is some more info here: osm.wiki/Dual_carriageway

Also, please don't ignore the validator warnings, there are now many broken and disconnected features in this area

I've just done the revert - btw you can still add postcodes that you know from your own experience. E.g. I know that the whole of Tekapo is 7999

Or if you know that one paticular street has the same postcode, then it's still worth mapping, because many geocoders are smart enough to infer the postcode from nearby addresses/shops/schools etc.

For example these search results have a postcode, even though the address node does not: osm.org/search?query=11+karamu+st,+akl

Hi, unfortunately NZ Post data is copyrighted so we can't add this information to OSM...

Hi, what source did you use for this edit? This business has no address on their website, and this seems to be a private residential home. Are you sure that this information is meant to be public?

Hi, thanks for your recent edits. hgv=no means all trucks are banned, i.e. anyone over 3.5 tonnes. Is that what the signage here says?

If you just want to tag the maximum weight, there is an example here which explains how to map the complicated NZ signage: maxaxleload=*

Hey, you requested a review on these edits - everything looks good, thanks for fixing the issue.

FYI the software bug which caused these leftover construction tags was fixed in 2022, but this road was last updated in 2021 which is why it was still in a broken state. (See https://github.com/openstreetmap/id-tagging-schema/pull/416)

There are 211 other roads in NZ which are still broken like this one... I'll fix these later tonight

sorry, I didn't realise the validator was that strict... I've moved it to a different platform for now, will revert in a few weeks when the track opens

151130960

what do you think about applying the suggestions from this comment? https://github.com/osm-search/Nominatim/discussions/3418#discussioncomment-9382615

i.e. change it to type=multipolygon + landuse=education?

150671430

thanks for your edit, I've fixed the formatting of the opening hours

151130960

thanks for linking to that discussion. I'm not sure what the best way of tagging it is, but I believe the renderers insist on type=multipolygon for landuse (at the moment it doesn't render in the default style, nor OSMAnd)

151130960

Hi, this edit has broken the rendering of this area in many different renderers.

Could you help me understand why it can't be mapped as type=multipolygon? I see 30,000 other schools and universities in the database which are multipolygons

150823246

Hi, are you sure that the street address of this building is correct? It looks like 492 is actually on the other side of the road

147840814

Sure, I assumed that it was okay to map this, given how many similar proposals are mapped around Sydney

The relation is currently being used on the wikipedia page, so please give me a day or 2 before you delete it, so I can figure out how to retain the map on wikipedia
