bevor du weiter Straßen neu klassifizierst solltest du unbedingt nochmal das Wiki lesen, insbesondere osm.wiki/Attribuierung_von_Stra%C3%9Fen_in_Deutschland

Das betrifft nicht nur diesen Changeset sondern so ziemlich alle:
In Deutschland kann man nicht an der Zuordnung "Staatsstraße", "Kreisstraße" o.ä. sehen, welche Klassifikation es in OSM haben soll.
Das ist zwar grob ein Richtwert, bedeutet ansonsten aber lediglich, dass diese Straße vom Staat oder Kreis gewartet wird.

Hier ein paar Beispiele:

way/482812329 - Sollte primary sein, da "In sehr großen Städten, in denen die Bundesstraßen ihre ursprüngliche Bedeutung verloren haben, kann von der strikten Regel highway=primary = Bundesstraße abgewichen werden, wenn die Bundesstraßen kein vollständiges Hauptstraßennetz mehr ergeben. In diesem Fall kann es sinnvoll sein, auffällige Lücken mit primary zu schließen." und
"Außerdem können auch Straßen mit übergeordneter Verkehrsbedeutung als highway=primary getaggt werden, selbst wenn sie amtlich niedriger klassifiziert sind (z. B. nur als Staatsstraße)" was hier als Umfahrung definitiv der Fall ist.

way/179487520 - "kann als secondary kartiert werden, wenn sie [...] als neugebaute Umgehungsstraße eine hohe Verkehrsbedeutung hat", mindestens aber tertiary siehe nächster Punkt.

way/11650567 - Okay, ich gehe mit, dass das nicht unbedingt secondary sein muss, aber mindestens tertiary sind es auf jeden Fall, da "Vorfahrtsberechtigte Durchgangsstraßen, die lediglich ein Stadtviertel oder ein Wohngebiet erschließen, sind typisch für highway=tertiary"

way/25496856 - Das sollte definitiv trunk_link bleiben.
"Auf der anderen Seite endet der Link spätestens dort, wo er auf eine andere Straße einmündet. Spätestens dort, wo eine untergeordnete Straße stumpf auf dem trunk_link endet oder diesen kreuzt, verliert er seine Trunk-Eigenschaft"

Das waren nur Beispiele.
Bitte lies das Wiki, prüfe deine bisherigen Änderungen nochmal dementsprechend und unterlass bis dahin in Eigenregie durchgeführte Neuklassifizierungen, ohne vorher die Community zu konsultieren.

this change was wrong as this section still only is a motorway_link even though having a ref. It doesn't qualify for being tagged as a motorway.
I already fixed that for you

I reverted this changeset and also fixed the classification of similar short sections of the "Trans Canada Highway" because they don't qualify for being tagged as "highway=motorway".
A better way to tag these could be keeping them as trunk and adding the tag "expressway=yes"

Du wolltest ein Review hierzu (kann natürlich nur das reviewen, wo ich im Thema drin bin):
Punk 1 der mir auffällt: Grundstückszufahrten sind keine parking_aisle sondern service=driveway - auch wenn es dann dort zum Parken genutzt wird (z.B. way/1286000028).
service=parking_aisle sind nur die Parkplatzzufahrten auf einem großen Parkplatz.
Punkt 2: Wenn du Gehwege separat mappst, vergiss nicht, die passendste Variante hiervon der Straße hinzuzufügen (habe ich leider auch zu oft vergessen):
osm.wiki/DE:Tag:sidewalk%3Dseparate

Die Kreuzung war nun allerdings komplett falsch gemappt.
Abbiegespuren ohne physische Trennung werden mit turn:lanes getaggt und nicht als separate Wege geführt.
Ich habe es in changeset/152047167 korrigiert.

I don't know how, but in this changeset you managed to delete the highway tagging from Seaton Drive - in Kentucky.
I just fixed that for you.

I reverted your change (you also seem to have moved a catenary pole by mistake).
Tagging the road as trunk "along the entire mentioned length" would be wrong as there are intersections.
To be tagged as trunk the Wiki says the following (translated as good as Google and I can):
The decisive features are that the road is "anbaufrei" (no driveways) and, in particular, free of intersections to enable driving without stopping. The connections to such a road are designed as entrances and exits where the road can only be entered from the right or be left to the right. If there are at least two such junctions, an expressway ("highway=trunk") can be assumed.

Please keep in mind that each country has some differences in tagging (as I also had to learn the hard way in the USA when I started to map and retag trunk there) :D

according to the tagging guidelines your reclassification of this road seems to be wrong.
The carriageways are separated physically and there are two exits without any intersections along this section.
Therefore this section qualifies completely for being tagged as trunk.

Please be more careful in your changesets when reclassifying the roads so you don't forget some sections like way/8964059, way/552591047 and some others.
Also you downgraded some mayor roads in residential areas and others from secondary straight to residential - tertiary would be the better choice for them, for example in this changeset Coleman Road, Meridian Avenue and Redmond Avenue. Another example is the Great Oaks Parkway/Boulevard near the Blossom Hill station.
Oh and please don't reclassify a road like in way/552591048 to a _link - secondary (without _link!) is perfectly fine here. I'll fix that one for you in my last changeset for reclassifying Monterey Road to primary.

what is the NGS mark you used to "correct" the offset in this changeset and in 139430609?
Your changes made the Station and tracks offset to any available imagery and what's much worse offset to the map data around it.
Your edits also created a hard and sometimes spiky transition to the tracks you didn't touch.
As this and the other changeset made the station offset to every map data around it I'd recommend to revert those changes.

Thanks for notifying me about the missing relation, I can't find any other broken ones besides the one you told me about on Discord that you fixed already.
I always check on any relations that might be impacted by my edits, this one seems to have slipped through. I'll double check them from now on.

Regarding the intersection mapping I just did what is recommended, also by the Mapbox Guideline.
The pencil tip style you prefer isn't great either, as it creates sharp turns when in reality there aren't any.
I won't change such existing intersections in California to the other style in future.
How do professional Maps/routers like TomTom handle such intersections?

Bitte halte dich an die gängige Praxis, wie was zu taggen ist.

sadly you made a mistake in this changeset by classifying an US Route only as secondary (and even missed sections at the western peaks and at Chimney Rock) - this should be changed back to primary.
Please have a look at osm.wiki/United_States/2021_Highway_Classification_Guidance on how roads in the USA should be classified.
Regarding some other changes you've done, how to map intersections when there are dual carriageways: Please have a look at https://labs.mapbox.com/mapping/mapping-for-navigation/modeling-intersections-for-map-navigation/ that is linked at the Junctions Page on the OSM Wiki.

Please don't stop mapping because of this - I just gave you some hints for improvement :)

Hi,
please don't change such short sections to highway=motorway to prevent edit wars.
For these cases there is expressway=yes that can be added to highway=trunk - in these cases the tag already was added to these sections.
I changed one section back to trunk because it doesn't even match the requirements to be tagged as motorway by the old tagging scheme.
