| 67603974 | Hi, that's not easy and to be honest, i don't know exactly what to do. you may separate the admin boundary from the coastline and use two overlapping objects:. The existing relation tagged as "boundary=administrative, admin_level=6, type=boundary, name=Mahe, ..."
May be that helps. walter |

| 67603974 | Hi,
as a result you killed the whole Seycheles from OSM. reverted. walter |
| 67728205 | Hi, please never ever remove the name tags from objects. they are important. you may add name:* like name:es to objects but don't kill the old ones. walter/germany |

| 67434556 | umap is being driven by "queries" to the osm database. usually this will be done with the overpath API osm.wiki/Overpass_API for testing use https://overpass-turbo.eu/ at first and later you may use the generated query in umap to visualize it. unfortunately i don't know anything about "overpass", but it is well known to the osm community. enter a forum and ask for help. e.g. https://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewforum.php?id=10 or a mailing list like https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk or https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-za talk-za is not very active, i would prefer an international mailing list. at least you may use the german forum https://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewforum.php?id=14 you may use english of course. many experts there. walter |

| 67434556 | don't panic.
and the gates (entries to gardens, e.g) should be tagged as barrier: barrier=entrance barriers are visible too. see entrance=* and barrier=* The "map" on openstreetmap.org is not for doing projects like yours. it's only a demo page to show what is possible with osm. there a many other ways to visualize "your" data. e.g https://umap.openstreetmap.fr/en/ (browser based). btw: leading a project without good osm knowledge is no good. |
| 67434556 | sorry: entrance=yes to barrier=gate is better. |
| 67434556 | Just found some entrance=yes with name=gate. please remove the name and everything is ok. |
| 67434556 | don't need to - this has been fixed some days ago. you can see this using an editor like iD or much better JOSM at home. or click "layers" on this map (4.th buttom top/right) and enable "data". |

| 67432319 | Hi, i don't have any local knowledge in this area. Nor do i know any (legal) sources. I just found them as they are and that there is something missing. at first they need boundary=adminstrative. for usual admin levels in different countries including BIH see osm.wiki/Tag%3aboundary=administrative#10_admin_level_values_for_specific_countries (slow page, need to wait a little bit) AL8 or higher should be ok. |
| 67434556 | fixed that before reading this. https://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewtopic.php?pid=739437#p739437 but you should still contact us to get help. regards

| 67432319 | Hi, adding city boundaries is fine - but without the right tags this does not make sense. relations for admin boundaries MUST have: type=boundary,
they don't need addr:country, addr:city, but if you like ... and the usual code for zip is postal_code= any questions? ask me walter |
| 67423730 | Hi, don't change admin_levels of boundaries, especially nothing to "2". Has been fixed. |
| 67249004 | Hi, please never ever remove name. this is the name in local language. you may add name:* too, but don't delete name. this is my second note. if you keep on, your account will be blocked. |

| 67208737 | Hi, please never ever remove name. this is the name in local language. you may add name:* too, but don't delete name. walter/germany |

| 66931392 | and sorry for my hard words: This night the international boundaries of 7 Countries have been destroyed - but not by you. Yes, you made a beginners error, and you are not responsible for the other 6. But i did not know that until now. Sorry for that, walter/germany |
| 66931392 | Please no, i have fixed it some minutes ago. |
| 66931392 | what are you doing? deleting those tags is vandalism. STOP THAT |
| 55800014 | ok, bethel should be fixed. but what is with the other 4 "Counties" 2605280,2605249,2605310,2605315
I'm working with QGIS using a PostgreSQL/PostGIS database containing the full planet. (Size ~ 2TB !) QGIS is free, running on most systems incl win. But i'm running ubuntu. Really great tool. |
