Not really sure how that works but if there is going to be a single tag shouldn't it be the primary language of the area?

Hi, welcome to OSM. Thank you for your edit however Tesco Extra is already mapped next door and this car park is rather small which suggests this is a duplication.
Also in OSM we use actual names as on the sign, we do not add locations to the name.

I have found that OSMand works far better as an OSM editor if offline editing is disabled, it is on by default. It does at least create small sensible changesets then but unfortunately doesn't do changeset comments. Maybe a bug to report,

Whilst downloading maps over mobile is probably best avoided, changes and notes are a tiny amounts of data.

From your description there is a bollard here?

Bollards only prevent the passage of motor vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists can still pass. By breaking the connectivity this prevents routers from routing pedestrians and cyclists this way.

The correct way to map situations like this is to add barrier=bollard with access tags, motor_vehicle=no, foot=yes, bicycle=yes.

Thank you for your edits, however they do seem a little odd. Firstly Honeyhill Grove is already mapped a little way to the west. It would seem unlikely that there would be two roads with the same name so close together. Also this seems an unlikely place for a new development.
Houses, lampposts, trees, shrubs and benches should be placed in their actual positions and not connected to the road.

In the iD editor the 4th button down gives you a selection of imagery layers which can be used. Maxar looks good here, but you do need to look through them to see which works best.
The map is always going to be a representation of reallity, the path from Haughton Road looks like it goes straight into the pavement at the end of Almond Avenue. The pavement (sidewalk in OSM) is effectively a property of Almond Avenue. If you were to map it separately you then get into the problem of connectivity for routers. For example you want a router to send a pedestrian along the path, not around the road.
Have a go at improving things, the best mapping is always going to be from someone on the ground. You are welcome to ask if you have any questions.

I can see what has happened. The estate was drawn roughly before imagery was available and is a bit out of alignment. That road was added later in the correct place, but is Almond Avenue which is obviously a duplication.

I will align it all properly.

Hi, welcome to OSM. I think this edit has gone a little wrong.

What evidence do you have that suggests that it does not exist as whilst the area is shown as farmland on bing imagery, this is old. More recent imagery shows it clearly?
