@Lee, thanks for the tip but, nevertheless, after having found a bad import "thanks" to the big bounding box, I'm happy not having known the tip before ;-). Eventually the import has been reverted and will probably be done later a proper way. The guy wasn't aware of the issues and was OK for the revert.

Je n'avais pas pensé à ça, ça explique que des contributeurs actifs ne répondent pas à des commentaires de changeset. Normalement il n'y a pas de pourriels à arriver sur l'adresse donnée à OSM, donc une adresse normale c'est jouable. Je vais donc écrire un message ping ;-).

C'est cohérent avec le wiki (primary : entre grandes villes et Plœmeur n'est pas une grande ville (déjà Lorien tnon plus mais l'agglo est une grande ville). Bien-sûr, ce n'est pas un problème d'avoir des primary en cul-de-sac. Par exemple ici ou le trafic continue soit vers le centre ville de Lorient soit vers Larmor (àmha deux secondary). En direction de Larmor c'est en plus une simple 2x1 voie avec 7 giratoires en 1,2 km.

Indeed, you misunderstood the comment as it has nothing to do with regional spellings as such. I thought it was well known, but I may be wrong: British is the language used for OSM tags. That's why the correct value is fibre (pronounced fiber ;-)).

About one century ago, British and Americans unified their spelling. British decided to use the original spelling (here fibre, coming from French fibre) and Americans the way it's pronounced (fiber). So no mix of fibre and fiber anymore, but depending of the language, only fibre or only fiber. Therefore here fibre.
Likewise the tag for color is colour, not color.

Pourquoi avoir passé en primary ? Secondary c'était amplement sufffisant. Cette route est moins importante que la D765 qui en esn secondary.

👍. With JOSM I thought - but it's now proven to be a wrong assumption - that sending in chunk would split the changeset into different changesets. Next time I'll sort my 0verpass request by region - default - and limit the output size, push the changeset then, 5 min after that, proceed with next chunk. This should work. For transatlantic cables, except if the cable links France and Brazil, it should modify less countries.
@Lee Carré, indeed, no modification in Jersey, I don't know if you have fibre but at least you write it the British way! OSMcha can be improved, for instance by checking the BBOX of each modified/added/deleted object instead of the global BBOX. It would be more computation intensive but for large BBOX with sparse data like this it would be very helpful.
