Stoney Creek Road is being upgraded in two stages. Stage one is underway between Kelvin Grove Road and 186 Stoney Creek Road, with work expected to be finished by June.

From mid-February, construction will require a full road closure. The detour route is via Hendersons Line. This detour will add around five minutes to most journeys, so it might be a good idea to allow extra travel time.

Wastewater upgrade from 8 September to 26 September.
Detours will be in place for vehicles heading into town via side streets onto Albert and Princess Street. The road will return to normal each night. The intersection with Dalia Street will remain open, though vehicles will only be able to turn onto Victoria Avenue in the direction heading towards the river. Vehicle speeds will be reduced to 30 km/h.

PNCC is upgrading the wastewater system from 4 August to the end of September. Part of Roberts Line will be closed 7am - 5pm on weekdays, detour in place.

Linton Drain Road, from Lochmoigh Road towards Craws Road, will be closed from 7.30am to 5pm on weekdays to allow our contractor, Fulton Hogan, to carry out emergency repairs.

Fulton Hogan will work with residents to allow access outside these hours, but there may be a short delay.

Work is expected to be completed in mid-June.

From 30 June, the road will be closed from 7am to 5pm for about one week – weather dependent.

Detours via Hendersons Line and Henaghans Road.

From 26 May, Kahuterawa Road will be closed on weekdays to allow our contractor, Fulton Hogan, to carry out emergency repairs. The closure starts at the Kahuterawa Reserve.

Work is expected to be finished by mid-June.

Road closure schedule:
- Weekdays only
- Closed from 8:30am to 3pm
- Open from 3pm to 3:30pm (travel window for you to get through if required)
- Closed again from 3:30pm to 5pm

The Mangaone Stream pathway is being re-limed until July. Sections will be closed while this is carried this out.

Fulton Hogan is starting at the Rangitikei Street end and will work towards Amberley Avenue, closing each section as they work on it.

PNCC is upgrading the water main on Brightwater Terrace. We had originally expected to complete this work in May. However, during construction we discovered that a section of pipe near the roundabout with Limbrick Street is in worse condition than expected.

While this has caused a delay, we’ve made the decision to upgrade this section now while our crew and equipment are already onsite. Doing this additional work now means we can avoid future disruptions and ensure the water supply is more reliable for the years to come.

We expect to complete this section by mid-June.
