I deleted it.
Using iD editor, I expect you just need to select the track and then select the trash icon.
Generally, you may need to split a way first to add a tag or delete a section of a way. I think the scissors icon does that.
I am unfamiliar with the iD editor as I use JOSM editor instead.

The source tag should probably be deleted from the sections you have changed as it seems no longer relevant.

I remapped this and nearby islands using Bing imagery and added the island/islets as inners to the river multipolygon relations. It should render on the OSM in a few days, earlier if you use the Tor browser.

you appear to be rushing your task and sacrificing accuracy. There should be a "square menu item" in iD to help make the corners square in rectangular shapes.

why is the river waterway distance tag used and value means ?

To get the island to render properly it would need to be added as an inner to local river relation. I am unable to check that now.

I have re-tagged as office=computer and abused the name to include description to Tier1 Repairs computer repair service.
