This seems not to meet the openstreetmap use of a tertiary link.
Though this road may link major roads, the osm use is for slip roads, not the the road itself between the major toads.

private roads do get mapped on private land.
You are expected to add access tags and/or gates to such roads if known instead of deleting another's mapping.
They may be also accessed by utility maintenance vehicles.

I unnglued caravan site from roadway centrelines and creek and joined entrance roads to frontage road

I removed the address point and details off the main road centreline and placed it just east of the road and south of the creek. Please shift it to the correct building location and preferably map the roadway leading to it.
I also fixed the road by removing the bridge tag and placing bridges only over the small sections of the road that span the creek.

The building tag is meant for depicting the building outline and not the block of land.

This appears incorrectly mapped and bears no relationship to bounds of natural areas viewed on satellite imagery.

You would add the tag to the outline way of the house instead of a node as the building outline is already mapped.

addr:housename=xyz is the correct tag.

I have not seen the the amenity=letterbox method before but it seems more suited to a group of letterboxes out the front of an area that services unit complexes.

This is an example of the usual residential house address where the outline of the house is mapped and the address tags are added to that ...

Sometimes duplexes have the outline of building mapped and two nodes inside with address of each unit on their own node.
