"Just a word or name" seems a bit strict: In many cases that would just be a copy of the name of the object. A short qualifier like "surveyor" seems perfectly reasonable.

I'd say that the text is still reasonably short and not like "one would find in a dictionary.".
I understand the Wiki as "keep it short, OSM is not the right place to give a full description like on a Wikipedia page". That would also include not circumventing this limitation by moving a long explanation to another tag.

But looking at it for a second time, I'd say that the part in parentheses should go to source:name:etymology.

I see that you added many tags to hotels which are not used in any other place.
In OSM we have to use a well-defined set of tags to allow all the software tools to understand the data and e.g. show it on maps.
Please make sure that you only use tags that are documented in the Wiki or are available as presets in your editor.

Ein track ist das für mich in keinem Fall. Den Eintrag im Wiki halte ich für fragwürdig, bzw. nur zutreffend wenn ein größerer Teil des Verkehrs landwirtschaftlich ist. Hier ist aber der Hauptzweck der Radverkehr, der Weg extra dafür angelegt, und landwirtschaftlicher Verkehr ist noch nicht einmal in der Beschilderung erwähnt.
Auf dem gemeinsamen Stück könnte ich mir noch "service" vorstellen - Zufahrt zu den anliegenden Grundstücken. Mein Voting: zu 60% path, zu 40% service und auf keinen Fall track.

So ungefähr hatte ich das auch in Erinnerung. Das nördliche Ende ist an den Pollern an der kleinen Brücke, und das südliche am Abzweig des Feldweges nach Osten.

Ich bin mir sehr sicher, dass auf genau diesem Abschnitt kein Verkehr zugelassen ist.

Mapillary ist nicht aktuell. z.B. fehlen dort auch noch überall die "S-Pedelec frei" Schilder.

Das trifft hier nicht zu: Landwirtschaftlicher Verkehr ist nicht erlaubt, nur auf kurzen Teilstücken Anliegerverkehr. Teile des Weges sind auch mit Pollern so schmal, dass kein Auto durchpasst.

Da fällt mir auch gerade auf, dass die traffic_sign nicht korrekt sind, und die access-Tags schon eher stimmen. Das schaue ich mir nochmal an wenn ich das nächste Mal durchfahre.

could you check the objects you edited lately? Many of them have a large number of strange tags that look like they shouldn't appear in OSM, e.g.

Aldeia = Lourba
General Ac = Cars
Managed by = Community
Postu Admi = Bobonaro
Road Acces = National Road
Street Add = Rua de Lourba
Suco = Lourba

It looks like most of them can be replaced by common tags like addr:street or addr:city?

Es ist immer möglich, neue Tags einzuführen, aber zwei gleichwertige Schemata parallel zu benutzen ist die schlechteste aller Varianten.

private=permit is documented for street parking and was part of the proposal accepted with 98% approval.
"parking:side:private=* is in use as an addition to specify [private] more precisely, e.g. parking:side:private=residents"

But that's clearly what is described in the Wiki. I won't get a permit by going to some place, filling a form and paying a fee. I need to be a resident in the area, or need to be invited by one. That's exactly what access=private, private=permit is intended to mean.

please don't add parking tags that apply to different sections of a way with "_1" - these can't be used by any software as long as it's not known in which part of the way which restriction applies.
The only viable way is to split the way as necessary, even if this results in many short segments.

Also, there are many with capital letters in tags like 'Yes'. OSM is case sensitive, so these have to be lower case 'yes'.

The problem is that the tag with the '.' is not defined and not supported by any software. I suggest to either separate the two thing on separate objects (which might be difficult in this case), or simply add both numbers to the normal "ref:GB:nhle" tag, separated with a semicolon.
