What was the point of this? The state still signs this as part of CA 91, not CA 91 Hist, and its still maintained either directly by the state or one of its subdivisions...

CA 99 being a future interstate has been roadgeek speculation for well over a decade at this point. Also, as I and Minh Nguyen pointed out, California Streets and Highways Code already define a Route 7 and Route 9 (California state law does not distinguish between any type of state route, whether that be an interstate, U.S. highway, or CA Shield route). There is no legislative policy that this designation will occur anytime soon. Also, California is in a budget deficit, I doubt the Legislature will want to burn hundreds of millions of dollars on changing signs…, and these are just a few of many other reasons why this is an inappropriate edit

What made you decide to add this to OSM? California Streets and Highways Code §§ 307 and 309 already define two different state routes designated as Route 7 and 9 respectively, so this is definitely not going to happen before 2027 when bills passed by the California Legislature in 2026 go into effect.... This edit should probably be undone

This section is designated as a freeway by the California Transportation Commission. Also, there is a discussion on Slack related to OSM road classifications in California on Slack. Please refer to that before making any changes

There are no pedestrian crossings here except at the terminus. Is this why you downgraded the entire segment even though it meets motorway standards?

What the fuck is your problem? The rail routes ROW still exists here and in almost all the other places that you undid my edits shitstain. I LITERALLY SPENT HOURS MAPPING THESE AND, IN THIS CASE, LITERALLY JUST COMPLETING THE TAGS ON A FEATURE THAT ALREADY EXISTED WHICH ALREADY FOLLOWS AN EXISTING ROW. I HOPE U GET HIT BY A CAR

Well the ROW still exists quite clearly, although parts of it have been developed upon. However, the tracks are still in the asphalt of PCH & the bridge abutments still exist across Ballona creek, among other things. It’s not one of those which have had all traces in the ground be erased.

I changed them because they seemed to be like any other residential road, mostly based on the time that I spend in the area. If you think that these were wrong feel free to revert the changes. This is just what I thought "tertiary" meant.
