... and yes I forgot, some rivers were not connected downstream, which may still be the case for some of them as I did not check all rivers in this area.

Hi Mario,
OSMI reported self intersecting ways. But a closer look exposed as well rivers flowing uphill and every single node of those waterways had the tag "waterway=river".

sorry I do not understand this question. do you mean how to fix those errors with OSMI? Just click on one of the red markers, a window will appear so you can edit the error directly in JOSM.
