The correct way to map on road cycle way would usually be via tags unless there is a physical barrier like cement blocking the cycle way fro the main road. For the time being i will try and update tags on roads and remove the cycle way ways where needed. Thanks for your feedback, I had the same fears with it being tall grass and reeds, so I checked out strava heat maps that osm is allowed to use, there were no ever recorded traces of paths in it, all paths deleted in this changeset had no aerial or strava backing, thus it leads me to believe these said paths where likely, 1 path of bird watcher or some other nature enthusiast, or two animal paths that were just well defined at the time, the lack of any strava data at all on the cases of the paths in this changeset it's very odd, but if GPS data is provided to prove that the paths are just absent from both sources for some reason I would be happy to reverse the changset.
