I added this tag in this way's corners in order to avoid "collapsing" of edges into a 1-D line when building a graph, which was, for some reason, what happened in our system before I added the tag.
Note that I replied with further explanations in the discussion you linked to.

These are quite unusual geometries for roads. Are you sure you made them in the correct form?

Are you sure ESRI is the most up-to-date? Because in all other imageries I see that the roundabout exists - Maxar, Bing and Mapbox.

I see you removed one segment of Cotheniusstraße - between 52.5287758, 13.4491765 and 52.5292625, 13.4505023. You also removed some service roads in the same area. Your source is Berlin aerial photography 2019, but looking at this imagery (as well as other imageries) I see the roads are there so I guess they were removed by mistake?

Anzac street - 2 road segments and half of the roundabout were removed (blocking the possibility to drive on Anzac st. from south-west to north-east). Looking at the LINZ NZ Aerial Imagery, I don't see any reason to remove them.
