Hi Gykon,
I noticed you also removed the building=yes tag here. But you also ( I guess accidentally) moved a node at another place of the map which sort of messed up a road. That probably happened while browsing through the map.
You can see it clearly in the top right on Achavi:
https://overpass-api.de/achavi/?changeset=60875843
The red line is the original position, the long green diagonal line is you accidental move :-).

Since the correction may be a bit difficult I already restored the data myself with changeset/60905519

Keep up the happy mapping!

Hi Gykon,
I also had a look at this change.
I noticed you removed the building=yes tag, which I think is a mistake because it would mean the restaurant you added is no longer in a building.
If you want to separate the building from the restaurant you could choose to map the restaurant as a separate Node. This is especially relevant if there are more things in the same building.
Please have a look at the tagging.
Keep up the happy mapping!

Hi Gykon,
Thank you for contributing to OpenStreetMap. Since you asked for a review (or forgot to remove the tickmark :-P) I had a look at you change.
I think you did a great job.
Keep up the happy mapping!

May abandoned:man_made=reservoir_covered be appropriate?

I noticed another tagging mistake in the guidepost you added at Hoch Carnatsch, which I corrected here:changeset/60871830

And I found this page:
http://wegwandern.ch/listing/wanderung-flumserberg-maschgenkamm-seebenalp-tannenbodenalp-7-gipfel-tour-wandern/

I could find this page:
https://www.flumserberg.ch/Sommer/Aktivitaten/Wandern/7-Gipfel-14-Seeblick-Tour
But from the information there I conclude that the route is not going all the way to Ober Murgsee like you entered in: way/226641408

Hi km2bp,
Thanks for contributing to OpenStreetMap in Switzerland. I noticed you named two paths as '7 Gipfel Tour'. Although I am not yet familiar with this specific tour I am familiar with hiking routes on OSM in Switzerland in general.
I know this tagging method is common in some other countries. In Switzerland this however does not work from a practical point of view. There are often multiple routes using the same sections of highway, making this approach impossible. Additionally the highway does not have this name, but the route does. To many highway and route are seen as different things altogether.
Hiking routes are mapped in Switzerland as route relations, not by giving the name of the route to the highway section. See for example the following route that I recently entered:
relation/1701722
Or via:
https://hiking.waymarkedtrails.org/#route?id=1701722

Do you have some more information on this hiking route?
- What is the exact trajectory?
- How is it signposted (what mark)?
- Who operates this route?

If you can provide this information I can correctly put in the route as a relation.

Cheers from Zürich,

Hallo Dani,

Yesterday I made it to the top via Diretissima Nord :-). I agree with the way you mapped it. Just below the crossing with Fallätsche Traverse there is a nice spot that allows for a comfortable seating with a great view over the lake and Sihltal, where I had lunch. I doesn't fit more than 1 person. I better not mark it as viewpoint since it may attract those on flip-flops...
Since I actually had no clue what Diretissima means, I researched it a bit.
Looking a Wikipedia I understood, however it is typically written with a double 't'. Or is that done different in Switzerland?

Hi freebeer,
I only monitor the MAPS.me stuff going on in Switzerland and see it happens a lot that users add descriptions in the name:xx tags. Often the descriptions (or names in case used properly) contradict each other in the multiple languages too (as far as I can read it). Generally only the name:xx tag is added.
Adding a node (in Zürich) with MAPS.ME myself gives me (in the Dutch language setting) by default the options for French, German, English and Dutch name. I guess these will all be name:xx tags and no regular name tag.
When adding a node in Azerbaijan by default it only gives me English and Dutch.
So apparently there is some algorithm deciding which languages to show by default. This behaviour is also partly described here: osm.wiki/MAPS.ME#Questionable_edits
However, the app also shows the option to add another language which gives you a list of (all?) languages. It also shows 'Native for each country' in this list, maybe this is the 'name' tag we are looking for.
I am not sure if most MAPS.ME users are really aware that what they do will appear on the map exactly in the messy way they entered it.
I do know that SOME users do know what they are doing when using MAPS.ME and they mainly use it because adding POIs is very easy. There are a handful of those in Switzerland which are responsible for roughly 95% of all changes via MAPS.me.

Hallo sternli,
Ich würde vorschlagen die name Attributen zu löschen, weil es klar ist das es Beschreibungen sind. Sehe auch der Wiki:
name=*
description=*

Hallo sternli,
amenity=fountain
drinking_water=no
Sehe auch: drinking%20water=*?uselang=en-GB
Eine name Attribut ist nicht passend, weil dass eine Beschreibung sein würde.
Was denkst du?
