I have been unable to find any evidence of a beach here. This pond appears to be associated with drainage from the surrounding area. Can you provide some kind of evidence on this?

There are many new mappers coming to OSM to add beaches at the moment thanks to a recent update in Pokémon Go. Beaches now trigger the appearance of a certain type of Pokémon (although the map data the game is using is rather old).

What makes this a beach? Do you have any evidence it exists?

You have been adding and also changing features so they are marked as beaches. In some of these cases, you have lowered the quality of the existing mapping and in others you have added incorrect data to the map.

Hi Infinity Lion - do have any evidence this actually happened? The most current imagery (which isn't that old) shows a pond here and I am unable to find any news articles or similar showing a beach has been constructed here.

We have a specific definition of a beach on OSM, and a pond like this would not be included.

If you are mapping for Pokemon, there is a small beach that was mapped a few years ago and appears to be real just to the North-West of this location though!

When adding footpaths and similar features, you should connect them to roads via crossings and other types of connections. Have you checked on the OSM wiki?
