Hi,

node/3980022261

field_4=55.181928
field_5=-6.720907
field_6=1

field_4 and field_5 seem to be location. Any idea what field 6 is?

Hi,

name="U Hansfield" seems exotic. :)

Ooops!

Do you have a diagnostic tool for telecoms?

Hi,

Just checking, are you sure this section of road is one-way?

Hi,

way/977588965 Are you sure this is a emergency=lifeboat_station A quick search doesn't find a Loughshinny life boat.

Hi,

Reservoirs like this (over-sized tanks, typically semi-underground) are man_made=reservoir_covered The tag water = reservoir is reserved(!) for reservoirs like this: way/38526474 :)

136022009

Yes, I thought the same earlier.

Generally, the consensus seems to be the fewer tags the better, especially when it comes to access permissions.

For example, oneway=no generally isn't used, unless it is the likes of a single-carriageway motorway (where you would normally expect it to be oneway).

Importantly, in the OSM Standard View, the footpath changes from red to dark grey, which would make people think the footpath isn't accessible.

Hi,

In light of this discussion: https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/access-no-foot-designated-on-highway-footway-should-it-be-reverted/101907 I'm wondering is this is over-tagged with:

access=no
foot=designated
highway=footway

highway=footway already means it is designated for pedestrians, to the exclusion of other means. access=no risks some routing software ignoring it completely.

Hi,

You seem to have tagged some roads as motorroad=yes. This has a specific meaning that pedestrians and cyclists can't use the road. It likely applies to the likes of the Jack Lynch Tunnel, but it doesn't apply to city streets.
motorroad=*

Hi,

Welcome to OSM.

way/1193228938

Beach fixed. I extended the much long line along the two short lines, completing the polygon. :) An alternative way to do this would be to create a relation, but for something likes this, the polygon is better.

Does this building exist? way/1177563320

Hi,

Just to note :)

building=farm is the farm house, where the farmer lives.

building=farm_auxiliary is a general farm building, where you might have animals, food stores, vehicles stores, etc.

Hi,

House overlap here: way/1192153462#map=19/54.57832/-5.91504

Hi,

Thank you for mapping the houses. I mapped Dunshaughlin, Ratoath and Ashbourne to a good standard earlier in the year, but mapping the buildings broke me. :( :) In the other two towns almost all buildings are mapped except where it says fixme = Add buildings.

Hi,

Just be careful mapping paths where paths are already mapped. :)

Hi,

way/482034401 This was meant to be moved to histosm.org. It is showing there, but I'm not sure if it is just copying from here.

Hi,

way/1160380047

There are about 58 buildings across Westmeath with the typo building=agriculrural

I'll see if I can get to them tomorrow. :)

Hi,

way/1090562647

Does the Esri World Imagery look about right here for the construction?

138758070

Hi,

node/1948210328 You should only add highway=turning_circle when there is a definite place for vehicles to turn. There is more information here: highway=turning_circle

In general, roads, paths, driveways, etc. should connect up. However, you will have places like golf courses and farms where they don't connect.
