| 172107027 | Good morning. You have been asked many times not to modify road classifications if you are not willing to discuss your edits with the community (Last time here: osm.org/user_blocks/18680). As already explained, your changes cause an excessive density of tertiary and secondary roads that conflicts with local mapping conventions that are well-established and documented (osm.wiki/Philippines/Mapping_conventions/Roads/Classification). If you disagree with these conventions please explain why and start a discussion for example in the OSM PH telegram channel (https://t.me/OSMph) or in the OSM community forum (https://community.openstreetmap.org/). |

| 168960497 | Hello Alvouch and thank you for your awesome map edits. Currently this street has a name and an address tag (usually not needed for streets) with conflicting spelling. Which variant is correct, "S. Clapanao Street" or "S. Calapano Street"? Have a good day! |

| 169941360 | Good afternoon. As a source for the changeset you mention "local knowledge", but you also comment "from other sources". Which other sources are you referring to? This was pointed out to you before but the changeset comment should contain a short description of your edits, for example "improve road classifications", for more details see here: osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments Regarding the classification changes that you made recently (especially upgrades from tertiary/secondary to primary), several experienced local mappers think that the current function and importance of these mostly provincial roads does not meet the criteria for primary classification (roads connecting major population centers, see: osm.wiki/Philippines/Mapping_conventions/Roads/Classification). For example afaik Matanao-Columbio still has a major ford near Sinapulan and is therefore for most cars not yet viable as a connection from Digos to Marbel/Tacurong. Although primary classification will probably be appropriate once bridge is built and concreting of remaining unpaved sections is finished. Another specific example that I mentioned to you before is the road from San Jose to Laak. This road is still unpaved and essentially all long distance traffic is using the nearby already finished Palavilla-Lasak Road. The more important road should have the higher classification even if it is not always the shortest route. Please don't repeatedly change classification of the same roads if you're not willing to respond to questions and discussions. |

| 167982794 | Good day Anye. Welcome to OSM and thank you for your edits. What exactly is Balay Amakan? There's probably an object category that would fit better than historic castle. Best regards, Timmy |

| 168079750 | Welcome to OSM and thanks for your edits! The tag landuse=farmland is intended for low growing crops like rice or corn. For areas mostly planted with coconuts you can use landuse=orchard + trees=coconut_palms, no need to add a descripton in the name tag. Also please make sure not to connect landuse to roads and rivers as they are independent features. |

| 161019272 | Good evening. Mega Paraw appears to be a tour agency and as such their route seem to be out of scope for road relations. If this is some sort of intermodal transport service open to the general public then a public transport relation might be more suitable? |

| 165665010 | Good evening and thank you for your awesome contributions around Lake Sebu! If a place or object undergoes a name change we can store the previous name in the old_name=* tag. This way the place node would still show up in search results if somebody is searching for Lemlunay. By the way, some addresses in the area use the old sitio name, should these be updated to addr:place=Sitio Be Afus? |

| 167470859 | Hi Kim. Welcome to OSM and thanks for your contributions. Please try to upload your edits in smaller batches to make it easier to review and comment. I noticed a few issues. For 202 Peaklane you added building attributes to the existing landuse outline and then added a new smaller construction landuse within. It seems like the inner outline should get the building attributes instead. Also name tag should only be used for actual names, please try to avoid using it for descriptions like for example "road expansion". |

| 167158437 | Good morning and thank you for these edits! Everything looks good now. Just one little question, which other map sources are you referring to? For example if it's a map from the city government it would be good to explicitly mention this as a source. Especially when there is no street name sign on the ground (for example Depita Road) other mappers appreciate it to know where the name comes from. |

| 165545174 | Welcome to OSM and thanks for your edits! I changed the research station from a node to an area and added amenity=college tags and some other additional details. The boundary is just approximate, could you check if any adjustments are needed? |
|
| 166879772 | Yes, fixed it now. Thanks for spotting this! |
|
| 166779079 | Thank you for using a small changeset size and a proper comment describing what you did. This makes it much easier to give feedback. Because the spelling of the name as written in reality is a bit different from the correct spelling it should still be tagged for searchability. For names assigned by government agencies like DPWH the tag nat_name is commonly used. |

| 166781727 | Good morning. Creating new accounts will not help you to avoid the questions that you have been asked. (changeset/166552377) / (osm.org/user_blocks/18289) For as long as your edits are problematic and of low quality they will always be fixed or reverted by other mappers. The only way forward is to learn about how to map things properly (OSM wiki ist your best guide) and to talk to other mappers if they point out problems. |

| 162380590 | Hi Carl, welcome to OSM and thanks for adding this school to the map! |
|
| 152162886 | Thanks! I changed it to access=no. |
|
| 152162886 | Maayong hapon. I noticed this barrier without access tags: node/11951941977 Does the block prevent people from using the stairs or is it still passable? |

| 166558148 | Good afternoon. There is a solid consensus in the OSM community to only add language specific names (same for brand and operator tags) if they’re actually in use and verifiable. This does not seem to be the case for the :id and :it tag variants that you added in this changeset. What benefits do you see in adding these tags? The downside of having such translations in OSM data is that map users with system language in a given language get to see fictional names instead of what's actually on the ground. |

| 165054467 | Good afternoon and welcome to OpenStreetMap. Adding places like dentists, cafes, etc. is really helpful for other people using the map. But for personal information like who lives in a place please use the bookmark function instead of adding it to the public map. Thanks! |

| 166552377 | Good evening. OpenStreetMap is a community project. We're all trying to make a better map and we have to work together to achieve this. There are well established guidelines on how we map different things in OSM. If you want to be a part of this project you really have to familiarize yourself with these mapping conventions and if other mappers point out issues with your edits it's expected from you that you either respond to the concerns or at least change the part of your mapping that is problematic. I have reached out to you about this several times on your previous account through private messages and changeset comments (for example here: changeset/166054144). Many of your contribtutions are really awesome and a huge improvement for OSM. But please reflect on the following issues: - Change road classifications only on case-by-case basis, if you're considering upgrading 50 different roads at the same time it is more likely that you misunderstand the classification system than that the classifications are wrong - Use proper changeset comments, describe with a few words what you did, "local knowlege" should go to the source field instead (or better
- For tagging about who or what a feature is named after you should use name:etymology:wikidata/wikipedia. The normal wikidata/wikipedia tags are for pages about the object itself (for example https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q56283912). - For streets the main name tag should contain the name that is commonly used on signage, for addresses or in everyday language e.g. "General Santos Drive". More complex long forms that are only rarely used e.g. "General Paulino T. Santos Sr. Drive" are more suitable for official_name tag. - Residential=gated is not a very helpful tag. If an area is gated can already be seen by the presence of gates and access tags. Both gated and open subdivisions come in different forms which can be described with residential=urban/rural/single_family and more (see residential=*). Apologies for this message being very long, but given the large volume of your edits this was somewhat unavoidable. I would be really glad to hear back from you! By the way if you're not comfortable writing in English, feel free to reply in Bisaya, Tagalog, Ilongo or whatever language you prefer ;) |

| 165595354 | Welcome to OpenStreetMap and thanks for your edits! Are the names that you added street names (Looban Street, Santo Niño Street, etc.) or are they names for areas like puroks or sitios? |
