OSM is not a live service and end-user applications are often updated an a monthly or yearly basis rendering such edits often useless and potentially harmful.
Any attempts to map short-term closures should probably use osm.wiki/Conditional_restrictions with dates although the usefulness or appropriateness is not clear.

I'm not 'lucky'.
I knew what I was reverting.

Reverts of bad changesets don't require me waiting for a response.
Please don't 'map' the roof since you won't have an accurate connection to the road network and would require mapping of all levels which only creates a mess for multi story parking garages.
Generally these are only mapped to the entrances to the structure unless there's a floor that serves a function other than parking such as the floor level which is for rideshare and taxi pickups.
