osm.wiki/Mapillary would be helpful to show future mappers where the roads end, where it overlaps, and where the waterway starts etc.

I don't doubt that its used for drainage.
However it was originally mapped as a road and connects to other roads. Unless you can show that it doesn't get used anywhere as a road you should map the waterway as a separate way.

Please stop adding fake motorways
