Since you've been there recenly I wonder if you might be able to offer help re note/4300079 ? Currently in OSM you can't walk between the north side of Long Road and Hills Road south.

I'd follow what it says at https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/have-you-spotted-vandalism-on-openstreetmap-org/114684 and report it by email if it is something new.

Hello VLD300,
While the previous name:en for https://osm.mapki.com/history/node/4027452036 was an unlikely one it's a bit of a stretch to say that an important place doesn't have an English name at all.
What was the reason that you removed it?
I'd be interested to know what your sources for current status and name is. It's actually probably worth discussing over at the forum. Two communities claim this region as "theirs"; following a war one is currently in control. There will no doubt be be argument on the forum about who _ought_ to control and name this area; but information about the on-the-ground status may be harder to come by.
Best Regards,
Andy

Hello Binnette,
You appear to be trying to import data from wikidata into OpenStreetMap without checking the licence of the data collected in wikidata or checking that OSM does not already have better data.
When importing data, or asking other people to import data, you must follow osm.wiki/Import/Guidelines .
Best Regards,
Andy Townsend from OSM's Data Working Group

Hello,
Please don't use simple tools like osm-revert on complicated reverts like this. See the links in the forum at https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/the-osm-standard-tile-layer-looks-wrong-white-lines-abusive-comments-etc/111583/277 and elsewhere.
Best Regards,
Andy

It looks like node/1227778538/history has already been deleted and restored once. What investigation did you do to make sure that it really should be deleted, and not added to some way or relation, or left for future mapping?

This is entirely unrelated to the Little Ale House (which is in Harrogate!). I wrote a long detailed changeset comment which seems to have been lost.
What this was actually about was a reconciliation of road and PRoW status based on various sources - survey (and imperfect signage), and PRoW status and road status from https://map.atownsend.org.uk/maps/map/map.html#15/53.7787/-1.0390/2/P (toggle the PRoW layer and zoom in to see OS OpenMap Local road status.
A Microsoft mapper contacted me because the previous state (a mixture of unclassified and track) was clearly rubbish.

Thanks!

After theis change there are now two new big gaps - is that correct? See http://ra.osmsurround.org/analyzeMap?relationId=12812573 .

Thanks for trying to help, but please don't try and revert these one at a time. They will need to be done together.

Thanks for teying to help but please do not try and revert these changesets piecemeal. There are maby of them and they need to be reverted together.

Even when doing "I used this sources to verify information, not to copy any data", I suspect that you'd still need to understand the licence on that site and the terms on which you might be able to use it.
We're not going to have a full discussion about this in a changeset comment - you need to discuss it in the forum.

Nur zur Bestätigung: Unter welcher Lizenz werden die Daten auf diesen Sites bereitgestellt?

152215623

Just to confirm, under what licence is that data made available from those sites?

Thanks! I'd already blocked that user.

You quite possibly didn't change anything - I just noticed that the number of elements in the line in the database had changed, and that you were the last editor. Quite often, those two things aren't related at all - an edit to the geometry of a way that wouldn't show up in relation history might also "break" a relation, or (because I only check relations every now and again) it might have been an earlier change.
