Hi - on way/290227742/history you've changed the denomination from Deobandi to sunni (which is obviously correct for the denomination), but would it perhaps be possible to record somewhere which branch of Sunni Islam is represented here - perhaps with a note tag or some other tag?

You've edited Calder Hall relation/4737028 - are you suggesting that it's operating again? Or was this perhaps a mechanical edit where you didn't actually check the data that you were changing :)

36056289

Can you explain what this edit was for? Did you visit these places and survey them?

36291877

Just checking - is there really now a roundabout way/388957477 surrounded by 3 mini-roundabouts here? My recollection is that there's actually just the one (fairly large) mini-roundabout - although it's a while since I was there (when I added the hedge at way/350697534 ).

Hi - when did you actually survey way/389249890#map=19/53.19956/-1.04074 ? When I was last there (last year) it wasn't obviously a "wooded" area - from memory it's a shrubby nature reserve. I'm absolutely sure that node/3429437598 wasn't surrounded by woodland at the time. Has it really changed that much in less than a year?

36415471

(apologies if I'm misunderstanding but) if you aren't sure whether the data matches OSM's contributor terms then it shouldn't be added to OSM (yet).

36415471

... also, you say "Lidl (with permission)" but can you document under exactly what licence that data was obtained?

36415471

Something seems to have gone a bit wrong here - for example, way/389983450#map=18/51.90547/-8.95373 is a "shop=supermarket" exactly adjacent to a Lidl.

Also, if you're importing a bunch of Lidls you'll need to discuss that with the rest of the community first - see osm.wiki/Automated_Edits_code_of_conduct and osm.wiki/Import/Guidelines , so that tags that you've added (including in this case things like wheelchair=yes) can be discussed.

What's the source that this particular line is ECM1 though?

It's possible that the community might decide to use a non-English word for this feature, but no discussion has yet taken place, so I really wouldn't assume that.

Speaking as someone who consumes OSM data, a lack of uniformity really isn't a problem. It's relatively straightforward to figure out what tags mappers use for various features, and remote mappers who change one tag to another without understanding what they're changing often mis nuances implicit in previous less-uniform tagging - the whole "trees" debacle was a good example of this where well-meaning but ill-informed mappers simply didn't understand that you could have deciduous needle-leaved trees, and good data was lost from OSM as a result.

Individual wiki pages (especially little-used and little-edited ones) are sometimes not a good summary of the views of the OSM community as a whole. They're often written by people with little subject knowledge purely from a "data classification" perspective.

36205316

It doesn't mean the same thing though - "diaper" is the American word for the English "nappy". "baby_changing" is something else - it's a place where you go to change a nappy, not the thing itself. By your logic I could change all tags to whatever is the most used one in taginfo ("building") - clearly this would be silly!

36320717

This looks very much like a mechanical edit. Did you actually discuss it beforehand anywhere?

If not, people actually consuming the data won't know why it has disappeared from their maps and data extracts.

Here you appear to have changed a tag key from an English word to an American one. Can you please explain where this language change was discussed?

The former power station site here really isn't called "High Marnham Power Station (former)". You could argue perhaps for "name=High Marnham" or "old_name=High Marnham" (former_name is also in use just not as much).

When I was last there (last year) there was signage for E-On, but I don't remember any for High Marnham itself.
