Si hay casas se puede utilizar residencial, si el camino a otro pueblo no está clasificado.
Puede indicar la superficie de la carretera con una etiqueta separada.

Pero si prefieres utilizar la carretera, no es malo.

Hi, you can use highway=crossing (on a node) or footway=crossing (on a way) but don't use them both on the same crossing.
