No problem! I've just corrected this since it's a minor correction, and I haven't seen you correct it yet.

I've also added the missing tags (access=customers, operator=Kiefer Campgrounds, website) to the campground. A few minor tagging things I'd like to point out:

- I changed access=yes to access=customers because you can't park for free there (that would mean access=yes), you do have to pay a fee. (see access=*#Facility_restrictions)
- For operator=KOA, sadly the street sign is not up to date, on the official website https://terrehautecampground.com/ it says it's managed under Kiefer Campgrounds. So the tag would be operator=Kiefer Campgrounds.
- Also, usually for addresses we use the full street name, without abbreviations. So addr:street=East Sony Drive, not addr:street=E Sony Drive. osm.wiki/Naming_conventions#Dont_use_abbreviations

One final thing, if there are many corrections that someone spots in a changeset, it's nice for the original mapper to correct it, since it's easier to know where everything changed. (This one is minor, so you're good.)

Thanks for your contributions and noticing the correction, just a few things I thought of for future edits.

Hi theclanhay,
Thanks for contributing to OpenStreetMap! I think this changeset looks overall good. I have something I'd like to add.

As far as I know, the grass that I identified here (way/815109239#map=16/39.4177/-87.3304) is not Terre Haute Campground, it's a trail that's part of Rose-Hulman Ventures (I have surveyed this part in August 2020). There is a sign at the intersection of Tucker Street and East Moyer Drive that points to Terre Haute Campground (north of East Moyer Drive).

The location of Terre Haute Campground that I found in August 2020 is here, on East Sony Drive: way/851844365
In your edit, you also found the East Sony Drive address as well, so I think it may not be the case that the grass area at Rose-Hulman Ventures is the current location, but it is definitely possible that this grass area has recently changed to be the campground (as I haven't surveyed the area recently). Do you know if it recently changed?

Thank you,
RH Terre Haute Mapper

Should've added survey + local knowledge + OpenStreetCam to tags since I visited these roads recently and used my imagery on OSC. Oh well.

I had made a few other additions such as lanes and turn restrictions on certain lanes and 1 or 2 other buildings, but some of those were lost when I forgot to save. I fixed the issue where polygons were drawn around the parking spaces for (I think) all of them (I checked, I fixed it for those that I could find/remember).

Hi Bernard,
I understand now. When I tried to edit a lot of things for an hour or so (I fixed the lots/areas around them), the iD editor's javascript crashed (my mouse cursor was stuck on hand mode and I tried everything including changing modes and clicking the save button and I couldn't) and I didn't even know how to save my edits locally before the whole thing crashed :(
I learned that you can do it on the save page to back up the .osc file every once in a while (https://github.com/openstreetmap/iD/issues/5547). Lesson learned, make backups.
I will submit a fix for 1 road for now just to show you and get feedback on it. I'm going to take a short break before coming back. I won't have any more time other than for this edit tonight or a lot of next week, unfortunately.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Bernard and b-jazz,
I've made changes to all of the parking lots now (see changeset/69405040), and I have some questions. Thanks for all your help btw. I learned a lot about how OSM works.

I was thinking that around the parking lots there should be service roads (with the highway=service tag) instead of driveways because most of the places I changed have many parking lots (driveways are usually small, but like highways in OSM as you and b-jazz explained on changeset/68219075, they might mean something completely different). My question for that is should I use driveways (a type of service road) or service roads? The wiki (highway=service#Examples) says to connect all parking lots with service roads "only", but I'm not sure exactly what that means.

Also, I wanted to connect all of the parking aisles together so it looked a little messy (with the lines in between them). (See way number 684969735 for an example) I thought generally they should be connected like that because of routing software. Do you have any suggestions for improvement on that?

Thanks,

Hi b-jazz, thanks for the explanation. I understand that term now. I've made changes to all of the parking lots. I'm moving the discussion to changeset/69354344 to keep this from becoming too hard to read/reply to.

Hi Bernard and b-jazz,
Thanks for your explanations. I had another question for Bernard: So just to clarify, should I connect the parking aisles to another road by using a "driveway" line (or something similar to that) after the parking aisle so it isn't treated like an island and it can be navigated (routed) to properly? If I connect it to another road, would that road be connected to a highway, and be part of the highway network? Some of the parking lots wouldn't go directly to a highway when you drive out of them, so not every parking lot needs to be directly connected to a highway, but it needs a road so it can connect to the highway from other roads.
An update on my edits: I fixed a few of them today. When I get time tomorrow I'll fix the others.

This is all I had time for today. I'll fix the other ones soon.

Hi Bernard,
I apologize for not fixing them. I assumed that b-jazz or someone else would have already fixed them, so I didn't want to interrupt what they were doing. I'm confused, do you also need them joined to the highway network (I'm unfamiliar with this OSM concept, I saw "highway" on the wiki but not "highway network")? b-jazz didn't say anything about highway networks.
When I have a spare moment today or tomorrow I'll fix them. I haven't had as much time in the past few weeks because of schoolwork.

Hi b-jazz, I appreciate your feedback. Your comments on the parking lot aisles were very helpful. I will be sure to use them the next time I edit. Thank you for making so many contributions to OpenStreetMap and helping people - you have a lot of experience! I agree with this practice because it is easier for other editors to change and handle more consistent parking lot data while keeping the visual format the same.
