Hi Warin61. Thanks very much. I'm just starting out so it'll take me a bit to get the hang of this. There is no actual nature reserve there, I just called it that to indicate that it is native trees there (instead of african boxthorn).
There is no campsite. I overlayed my GPX tracks to confirm which tracks are actually still in use. My family owns the island, so I have an intimate knowledge of all areas of it. Many thanks, Jan

Normally I would agree, your interpretation would be accurate. However, those familiar with the local area know it as "Bird Crap Rock". It is a landmark frequently used for both terrestrial navigation on the island as well as marine navigation around the island. It is the southern-most tip of the island - a well known location for those familiar with the island.
