Making tagging decisions based on "visual prominence" is an absolutely incorrect approach. It's called "tagging for renderer" osm.wiki/Tagging_for_the_renderer
A map you use might use right now show them with similar "visual prominence" but there are many different styles of maps and some of them display roads and walking paths differently. As such, the most important aspect must always be for the underlying data to be accurate, and not for it to look pretty. If the data is accurate, map styles can be updated to show better representation of it.

yes, when mapping sidewalks as separate paths, it's good to add sidewalk=separate to the associated road itself.(although there could be confusion where the road you select stretches for many blocks but you are mapping only a single block..) Alternatively, sidewalks can be designated as "sidewalk=no/left/right/both" on the road itself without drawing them as separate paths. The article I linked above covers these cases. 👍

I added RiteCheck name since it was easy to figure out, but there's still a resultant POI with just covid_hours:closed tag.

Additionally, you tagged the whole building as the restaurant, which is incorrect. It occupies only the first floor, while above appears to be an apartment building. In situations like this the restaurant should be added as a point with all the relevant information and positioned inside of the building shape.

Please try to submit changes limited to one geographic region/place at a time. While you made 1 edit in US and 2 in Slovenia, this edit makes it look like it's spanning over the whole Atlantic Ocean. That makes it harder to spot what exactly changed on the map. 👍

You could use StreetComplete mobile app to tag some missing info. It might be easier and faster to do it there than with iD or josm.

If those parking spaces still belonged to "B1", you shouldn't have modified it just to move the sign. The most important thing is for the data to be accurate, not for it to look pretty. Changes to how map is generated in future can improve such situations..but not if the underlying data is incorrect. Changing tags just so it looks nice is an incorrect approach.
