What use would knowing a zip code of a road be? Address nodes or buildings, sure. But road itself? 🤷
Also that information can be looked up using geocoding systems.

Rather than completely delete closed biz, it's much better to use lifecycle tagging as documented in osm.wiki/Lifecycle_prefix or at the very least simply delete biz-specific tags but leave address info intact. Doing that not only preserves history of that object, which can be useful to refer to in the future, but also still allows this address to be searchable and be able to navigate to it.

Be thoughtful when doing such changes just so that they show up on a map of your choice because that's approaching osm.wiki/Tagging_for_the_renderer

Just because it's blocked doesn't mean it doesn't exist and should be deleted. Instead it should be indicated that it's blocked and surface quality/type of road updates to the current state.

In EveryDoor if you'll go into settings, Presentation section, Background Imagery and make sure that Bing at the very bottom is turned on. Then on the main screen bottom right button allows you switching between map and satellite view.

In NYC as of a a couple of days ago Bing imagery is the most up to date, so it's probably best to map based on that.

BIN does have 206, but I think that's the consequence of merging multiple plots of land. I'm not sure how they decide which address gets assigned.

Rather than just a generic post office tag, there's a more precise preset for USPS post office.
Also, perhaps Cathedral Station is more suitable for the branch= tag rather than name=?
