This was mentioned in osm.wiki/Talk:Key:opening_date unsigned.
I don't suppose we should convert to `proposed:start_date=` and `proposed:end_date=`.

There are 69 `closing_date=` instances. Do you intend to remove all of them? This is in line with not using `start_date` in the case of `opening_date=`.

Especially be careful when it carries other info, such as address.

If the shop is outdated, you should nullify its info (eg by `demolished:*=*`) without removing the point. The restaurant is gone, but the shop space is still there.

Please be the most cautious to not delete a highest-level feature tag as `highway=`. You already broke https://osmlab.github.io/osm-deep-history/#/way/833114438 in changeset/92812210.

Connecting roads along a land-use area is a bad style. Either it passes through the park's inside, or it aligns between the park and building (which shouldn't be connected to the park's gates).
