(make stub extensions, and split them)

177303927

JOSM is easy, and doesn't have to be tedious. You only need to learn how to make stub extension placeholders, and use "Replace Membership" to transfer them into the targets. Then delete the inapplicables, and the stubs.

The exact extent is using `motorway=no`

177180077

Please don't use `type=site` + `building` , that's mixed up with `type=building` (but it still need a `building=` polygon as outline)
Please try to read how 3D Buildings are done before doing it. And start with something simpler.

177180077

And don't leave `building=` + `building:part=`

177180077

`type=site` has basically no software support, and you still left `shop=mall` on the members. It should be grouped together with Phase 3.

2. Please don't draw when there are only traffic cones either

177223021

Please don't draw a pair of lines when there's no raised separation, Cf `=turning_circle`

177135014

(Similar to not connecting `bridge=` directly)

177135014

Please don't merge and connect `=steps` with `=footway` in a right-angle. There should be an L-shape turning corner being either stairs or flat.

168099947

This one is a public bus-only road, not franchised only. It can be discussed.

177092801

It's this one, used by Resident Service https://hkbus.fandom.com/wiki/石山街

168099947

`highway=` is a functional classification that should be decided between junctions. This section is a `=motorway` continuation. `motorway=no` can be used for the exact legal extent.

177066498

When it's still visible in imagery, please only change to the indicated `demolished:*=`

177066426

2. Please use meaningful upload comments

177066426

These "Former" are debatable. Already used `old_name=`

Nothing should be done for "saving server resources", and it usually saves little to negligible amounts. Again they are `network` , not `route` per the parent definition. `route_master` shouldn't be used as they aren't `route` , and it's used for different variations, while `superroute` is used to split a `route` for OSM data reasons.

This corresponds to the `=city` , which doesn't work in the `admin_level=3` HKSAR. If the `=city` is un-related, it will be interpreted by Nominatim as below `admin_level=5` HKI etc. changeset/176537259
You could understood it as HK proper. While HKSAR includes the Shenzhen Bay Border Crossing inside, which would not be seen as HK.
This follows changing Kowloon from `=city` into a `=region` by considering the conflicting `population=` definition of HK, although the PRC users seemed more concerned about rendering. Kowloon is usually seen as part of the `=city` HK . The duplication between HK and HKI is also eliminated. www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/176793147

1. It was you who brought up " osm.wiki/Hiking dictates", "covers both roads or trails", and relation/1623950 first. I'm respond to your comparison of these urban ones with rural.
2.1. The `=rcn` are controversial. Them existing now doesn't mean they must be correct, discussed, or recognized. 2.2. For `route=ferry` again you have misunderstood what "direction" means here. They have a direction, only that both directions are stored in the same object. This is actually the most common in `route=road` , unlike HK.
