I didn’t seek prior community approval for this batch, and I’m open to retagging these as estimated (e.g. source:height=estimated) or reverting the heights if the community considers this inappropriate.

I understand, but the problem is that for Organic Maps (the app that uses OSM data), the country regions that have "place=state" tags are labelled clearly whole those with "place=region" tags aren't labelled. So to make the names visible in Organic Maps, I changed the tags.

I made the changes in Canary islands (southwest of spain), hence the bigger box. Didn't make any changes in Morocco and Algeria.

I added the label nodes because in 'Organic Maps' app (based on OSM), the names of the Serbian regions are not displayed/rendered. That's the reason.
