I understand, but the problem is that for Organic Maps (the app that uses OSM data), the country regions that have "place=state" tags are labelled clearly whole those with "place=region" tags aren't labelled. So to make the names visible in Organic Maps, I changed the tags.

I made the changes in Canary islands (southwest of spain), hence the bigger box. Didn't make any changes in Morocco and Algeria.
Thank you so much mcliquid! I'll follow the guidelines next time!
Hi MailMrav, I added the label nodes because in 'Organic Maps' app (based on OSM), the names of the Serbian regions are not displayed/rendered. That's the reason.

OK dear. Now I understand. Very sorry to change without understanding the rules. I have read the rules using OSM wiki on how to name places. Thank you for your valuable advice on this. But could you please make me understand how to revert naming of places?
Thank you so much for reminding. I am very sorry to have changed without understanding the rules!!!
| 86809906 | Corrected by adding English, along with Hindi for India.
Made. I added English along with Hindi (2 official languages), in the "name" tag of India (Place), right now.
But "India" in one of the Official languages, Hindi, is Bharat. That's what I edited in the "name" column. Likewise, other countries are named in their official languages in the OSM.
