Hi,

It's great that you are adding buildings. To get maximum value, after you click 'edit' you can turn on the OSMUK Cadastral Parcels layer. This will enable you to align the aerial photos (the MS AI buildings are slightly off) and also to see where semi-detached and terraced houses can be split.

Happy mapping! Regards, Jez

Well done. I was just going in to do this one. I believe there is still a school hours time restriction on entering Grantham from Ditchling. I will go and look at the sign.

Yeah, it was lack of tags in Vespucci whilst I was on the spot, I was going to change them when I got home.....and then forgot. :( Will do it now

Good spot Thomas. I've removed the no-right-turn as this will mess up taxi routing from the rank in Queen Square. Perhaps the mapper meant to add a Queen's Rd->North Road no right turn?

I know of WIMS from the EA Water Quality Archive https://environment.data.gov.uk/water-quality/ which gives sampling points and readings for this Sewage Treatment Works (STW).

More than happy to have EA identifiers on here, but I echo the request to consider namespacing the id to ref:GB:... as it isn't International. 'WIMS' could be a system in Germany about something else.. also, is there a public URL to query High Wycombe STW itself?

nil desperandum Jerry, I've fixed it. - Jez

It's usual for a wind farm to be a relation in OSM (because it is the sum of the turbines and not the gaps in-between) and there was one waiting at relation/11522312 which I updated.

I didn't delete your polygon though, because that would be a bit rude of me.

Just playing Devil's advocate, but isn't a recycling container that only accepts waste what we would call a 'waste_bin'?

Hi Brian,
I'm being picky, but aren't they building=detached_house, semidetached_house, or houses? building=residential is a bit non-specific.
Hope you are doing well, Jez.

Hey Daniel,
Good point. Springfield Mews is a new mini-development of 4 houses squeezed between the railway line and the Open House pub. The street sign appeared during the building stage and I mapped it before knowing that it would just be a path. Changed to a footway.....What I don't know is whether the road next to the pub is also Springfield Mews. There has never been a road sign there.

I'm guessing that you meant to get rid of the Paisley relation but one of its ways stayed behind because it is part of the Glasgow relation. I would delete it myself but wanted to be sure. - Jez

That looks better. Thanks for the update.

not saying that it is your changes, but i'm not sure how Brighton Racecourse is meant to be modelled here. In real life: the two grass sections are split by Wilson Avenue, which is temporarily closed during races with coir matting laid over the road surface. So, in OSM are there supposed to be 2 * sections linked with a relation? or just by name? The current grass overlaps the road. Should the 2 sections be merged? - Jez

Hi Brian, check out the Talk page of memorial=blue_plaque. Sure, we didn't get round to officially deprecating it...but I'm not really a fan of the tagging list 'officially' deprecating things. - Jez

Oh! Thanks for spotting Neil. I must have been having an off day. OpenPlaque 55158 is clearly over near Christmas Steps. This one is John Foster's former house, but not sure what the inscription says. - Jez

How strange. The Name Suggestion Index appears to point it at Q98456772 https://nsi.guide/index.html?t=brands&k=shop&v=convenience&tt=Tesco&cc=gb but the shortcut fills in Q487494

BTW, I would tag a terraced *house* as building=house and only use building=terrace to draw one big block for the whole row (because I was feeling lazy!)

Hi there,
I'm working on a UK project to get accurate data on Household Waste Recycling Centres. This location has a particularly long list of what it will accept (taken the Council's web page https://beta.southglos.gov.uk/recycling-centres/) and some will be new to OSM. I will review them to see if some have more common variations.

with respect, please reconsider using blue_plaque which confuses our foreign colleagues and has been superseded by memorial=plaque. Regards, Jez

Thanks for adding. If you get the chance to look and this is 'OX18 950' then please add as the ref
