If you have pictures of the dam, I would recommend uploading them to https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Cayuga_County,_New_York then link to one of them like node/737760443 . That should provide fair proof of its existence as well as help experienced mappers complement tagging for it

@Joelius You can't delete objects from within Maps.me. You have to go to osm.org to do that.
Do also note that Maps.me's map can easily be out of date by a month.

Please note that you split the Enghave Plads way in 3 parts, of which you deleted 1.
I have repaired it though as well as cleaned up a number of other issues in the area.
