As long as the path is easily verifiable it can and should be in OSM. If the path isn't open to the public then it should be tagged with access=private

Good to hear from you as well. And yes, Methow Valley should be great - except if we have wildfires. Then not so much. We've been there a number of times and love it. However, because it's so expensive to live there the businesses have a hard time hiring help. The help can't afford the cost of lodging over the summer.

I'll have my dashcam running so I can travel both routes for a distance. (We actually come in from the west to Winthrop but Twist is just up the road a piece.) Unfortunately this is just a short two day trip so we can explore more.

I have good contacts with WSDOT if you need any help. My friend works on accessibility projects so I'm guessing she works around people that do bike routes.

best

I'm going to be in Winthrop in early July. Is there anything I can do to help?

Thank you for your edit. I reviewed your work and it looks good.

#TIP: square buildings by selecting the outline then just type a "q" - And try to follow the roof line when adding buildings. I've updated you building. Let me know if it's wrong.

I'm guessing you wanted to indicate that there was a bridge across a stream on 140 Access Trail. Use ford=yes for a trail that crosses a stream. Or bridge=yes + level=1 for a bridge across the stream.

piers are basically what we call docks in the US. OSM uses British English for tags since OSM was started in England.

Can you update the nodes?

#TIPS: Instead of deleting and re-adding a node, just update the existing node. That saves the history of the object.

Also - you deleted Pear Thai Cuisine restaurant. Is the restaurant gone?

Please don't make temporary changes to OSM. Once a changeset is uploaded it becomes live. I would suggest you try QGIS to modify the course. QGIS is free open source GIS software.

You can add a the tag website= for the url.

There is a plugin for a more advanced editor, JOSM, that will extract data from websites that conform to the schema.org standards. Unfortunately due to copyright restrictions, we can not pull data from sites like google, yelp, etc.

Not a big deal - but it looks like you have two fords on the speed trail.

#TIP: use the tag type=route + route=evacuation + evacuation_route=tsunami for tagging of evacuation routes. The name of the highway should be as posted. Can you review this edit and fix as needed? Thanks - I'll send you more info on OSM in a DM

#TIP: street names are spelled out in OSM. Reason - software has a hard time unabbreviating.

Thank you for your edit. I reviewed your work and it looks good. Though I'm not much of a traffic lane editor.

I'm not sure but could that be a traffic_calming=island instead of a mini roundabout?

#TIPS: use the tag barrier=gate instead of the seamark:type. Seamark tags are just used for water navigation by boats and ships.

Also - we don't use descriptive name The tag barrier=gate is sufficient.

Can you fix this?

Is this road posted as no trespassing or something similar? From county records it appears that there are a number of residential houses located along the road. It does appear that the road is privately maintained but that doesn't mean it is no access. Adding the tag access=private will result in routers avoiding the road, even to addresses located on that road. Can you review this edit? Thanks. I'll send more info on OSM in a PM.
