I posted my last comment before your comment, so I didn't read about your proposal. The draft proposal is interesting, but at the moment as traffic_island is the de facto standard I would stick to it at least in my edits even to long traffic islands. I actually think that footway=crossing crossing:island=yes (or other values) could suit better osm, using bremen schema like many other crossing tags. I would be interested on working to refine this proposal, maybe you can also try to ask for opinions on discord osmworld to see if the proposal could be moved further?

I agree with this (obviously, more precise the tagging is, the better routers etc. can use the data). But I'm not sure which could be the difference between these, as according to taginfo the values aren't used or documented. Maybe this could be the start of a traffic_island standardization proposal?

Hi, it hasn't been discussed, I'm not doing mass edits to tags with many usages, and since crossing_island is not documented anywhere, I decided to replace it with the documented tag where it's suitable with aerial imagery (in other regions I found crossing_island that was actually nor a "crossing island" nor a traffic_island). This was maybe the only value that had more than 5 uses by multiple users and was not typo/abbreviation in the ones I modified last days, if it was more used I would've written at least on the community to get opinions from other mappers.

Buonasera. Ho notato che la modifica non è corretta, frequentando abitualmente la stazione degli autobus. Non è mai stata presente una vending_machine in quella posizione, ma verificando da internet risulta possibile che sia all'interno della stazione. Nel caso conoscesse la posizione corretta all'interno della stazione potrebbe correggere questo errore? Grazie
