I have deleted this object in changeset/132005512.

You said that 99% of your last edits are Russian powergrid. I did notice you spamming small edits in Russia and Belarus all with false descriptions, but that doesn't take away that you are also a major contributor of power, place and waterway objects in Ukraine since the war broke out.

I agree with you that it's not the smartest choice of some mappers to delete already mapped infrastructure in Ukraine at will. If there was really any broad support for this, we would have seen such edits in a more organised fashion.

That said, the appeal of the Ukrainian mappers is respected by enough people now that you can see it clearly in the statistics. I wrote a forum post about that here: https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/ukrainian-osm-community-appeal-re-edits-of-osm-data-during-russian-ukrainian-war/995/12

Last but not least, could you just stop mapping infrastructure in the eastern half of Ukraine for the duration of the war, please? Even if the data can be found elsewhere, we don't want to make OSM a part of the information war and we don't want to start edit wars with mappers who have different opinions about what should and shouldn't be mapped in this area. I hope this isn't too much to ask.

The Ukrainian OSM community urges us not to edit the map of Ukraine during the war, so why are you mapping sensitive infrastructure in an active war zone?

Please write more informative changeset comments to explain to the community what you have edited. This helps mappers to review changesets, which is especially important in Ukraine with the war going on and all that.

Natuurlijk willen we de data graag zichtbaar hebben, maar daarvoor zijn we afhankelijk van de renderers en het is geen reden om voor elk label een name=* tag te gebruiken. Stel dat een andere renderer wel naar de ref tag kijkt, dan krijgt die te maken met een chaos van verkeerd getagde sportvelden, en dat willen we ook niet.

Ik kan nog links sturen van alle gedocumenteerde richtlijnen die hier relevant zijn, maar ik denk dat we elkaar zonder dat ook wel begrijpen.

Beachvolleybal is de naam van de sport die bespeeld wordt. Dit was al getagd als sport=beachvolleybal. Een name=* tag is hierbij overbodig, dus die heb ik weer weggehaald.

What exactly did you map at way/1127882118? It doesn't have any physical attributes and since it's a way it's not a boundary. Also, how does it relate to relation/11532810?

Why did you tag every single part as a fort? All parts belong to Fort Adams, which is one single fort (see the "One feature, one OSM element" guideline). Especially defensive works like tenailles are definitely not forts.

On top of that, these are definitely not city walls, so I don't understand why you used this tag here.

Also, what is the purpose of historic=military + military=fort? It looks like a duplicate of historic=fort, and military tags don't even apply here since the military is no longer involved.

Dankjewel voor de reactie en voor het nakijken. Ik zie dat ik mijn inschatting hier verkeerd heb gemaakt. Ik heb de wijziging teruggedraaid in changeset/131912774 en daarna heb ik nog de website toegevoegd. Ik zal hier in de toekomst rekening mee houden.

Hoi Brul. Ik woon in de buurt, maar ik heb de werkzaamheden zelf nog niet bekeken. Bewerk je de kaart hier alleen op basis van documentatie of heb je hier ook ter plaatse gekeken of ze al echt aan de slag zijn?

Er gaat inderdaad veel veranderen en de verklaring van Brul klinkt zeer plausibel.

Persoonlijk zou ik de fietspaden nog niet verwijderd hebben: ik zou ze veranderd hebben in iets met construction of anders een lifecycle prefix. Echter, als de paden zoals Brul zegt al verdwenen zijn in de echte wereld, dan hoeven we ze naar mijn inziens ook niet meer terug te plaatsen op de kaart.

Hoi Eggie,

Ik weet dat de gemeente druk bezig is met de wegen en fietspaden in deze omgeving. Ik ben hier niet langs geweest sinds de werkzaamheden begonnen zijn, dus ik ben niet volledig op de hoogte. Ik kan op z'n vroegst dit weekend langsfietsen om de huidige stand van zaken ter plaatse te bekijken.
