It'll better to put old or alternate names to appropriate tags such as old_name and alt_name rather than name tag.
And I'm not sure about deleting a node place=hamlet in this case. Most settlements in Georgia marked as nodes or both nodes and ways.

Why did you delete name:ru tags? And why did you rename "street" to "st", "დიმიტრი" to "დ." etc? It's against the naming rules: osm.wiki/WikiProject_Georgia_Abkhazia_South-Ossetia#Streets
