If your ground truth team managed to follow the trails, then it's a win-win.

However, if ref=1 is from extrapolation, then hopefully, please do not "map" it.

GlobalLogic bad edits were also refined, at least from a local's POV, rather than blindly tracing off satellite imagery. The cleanup is still ongoing, because there's no use to actually contacting their team members which probably I reckoned, already done with OpenStreetMap (been inactive for months).

It's really common to have highways, this type as one goes further inland, away from denser populated places. My practice is usually map them (see pictures) as highway=unclassified.

Please also check thoroughly other highways that overwrote my ground truth edits made in December 2019

Don't really mind - this area is sparsely populated, although the K509 route may act as a more significant feeder route towards the Pendang town. I may inclined to tag it as a secondary road but tagging it as a tertiary road may not totally be completely incorrect.

In this Pendang district, inconsistent tagging may be due to independent remote mapping done by different individuals.

I understand your way of seeing it, but across this state (Kedah - where I'm from), there would be some extensions just like this. Usually due to the presence of a nearby school. E.g. way/370743006/history just adjacent to this particular highway.

The highways would somehow built to serve two-way traffic with two lanes.

The unclassified way adjoining it is built differently (in physical properties e.g. how they're built) as well.
