Thank you for the correction.
I made an embarrassing mistake.

179662915

I have already mentioned this several times, but please do not move existing roads or buildings to match Bing imagery without correcting the imagery offset, as this creates inconsistencies with the existing data.

179607148

I have partially reverted some geometry changes in this changeset because existing mapped features were moved to match unaligned Bing imagery.

Existing roads and buildings were already aligned with GSI imagery.

Your edits moved them several meters to match Bing imagery, which appears to be offset in this area.
This breaks the alignment with existing map data.

Please verify imagery offsets before moving existing features.

If these edits are not corrected, I will revert them to maintain data quality.

Hi, talbertdoi
The roads in this area were already properly aligned.
Please avoid arbitrarily moving existing roads.

Could you please revert these edits?

179326935

Hi, talbertdoi
Please review the project instructions before mapping:
https://tasks.hotosm.org/projects/27165/instructions

When using Bing imagery in this area, please make sure to apply the appropriate imagery offset.
Do not create or move features without correcting the imagery alignment.

IshikawaJunさん
いつも詳細なマッピングありがとうございます。
HOT Project

Hi talbertdoi,
To restore the multipolygon structure, I will partially revert the affected natural=wood area (outer member).

179059643

Hi, I noticed that a natural=wood area seems to have been removed in this changeset.

Thank you for checking and for your careful approach.
This part involves imagery offset handling, so I’ll take care of it later.
You did the right thing by pointing it out and leaving a comment.

Thanks again for your help and willingness to learn!

178300610

Also, if mapping something is difficult or unclear, there is no need to force it.
You can leave a comment on the task, and more experienced mappers or local mappers will be happy to help.

Thank you very much for your contribution!

Thanks for checking again, and no worries — everyone starts as a beginner.

In this area, the OpenStreetMap standard map is already aligned to existing data, so it’s a good reference for consistency.
Bing imagery can be offset locally, which is why the project instructions say to adjust the imagery offset and use GSI imagery as a reference.

So in this case, the original geometry was already consistent with the surrounding features.
The safest approach here is to keep the existing alignment and avoid deleting and redrawing objects unless there is a clear reason.

Thanks for being open to discussion — that’s always appreciated.

178300610

Yes, the instructions clearly say that if imagery is offset, the imagery itself must be adjusted.
They do not say to move or redraw already aligned features.

Bing can be offset in this area, so alignment should be done by correcting the imagery offset and using GSI as a reference.

Hi,

I aligned this object carefully to the imagery and nearby features.
After it was deleted and redrawn, the current position is noticeably offset.

If there is a specific reason or different imagery source for this change, could you please share it?
Otherwise, I think the previous alignment was more accurate.

Thanks.

Please do not remove or redraw existing features without reviewing the intent
of previous edits.

This area was already mapped with position correction in accordance with the
HOTOSM Tasking Manager instructions:
https://tasks.hotosm.org/projects/27165/instructions

Bing imagery without offset adjustment may appear minor at first, but will
result in misalignment with surrounding municipalities.

Thanks for the correction. I had confused genus with taxon. I’ll be careful from now on.

Thanks for the quick response.

Hello,
It seems that the Bing imagery offset was not adjusted.
Most of the added and modified buildings and roads appear to be misaligned.

Hello,
I mapped the ground-mounted mega solar plant here.
This site used to be a golf course, but it has now been converted into a solar power facility.
According to Esri aerial imagery, the clubhouse has been demolished.
Therefore, Esri seems to be more up-to-date than Bing in this area.
The small surrounding structures appear to be related to the solar facility equipment,
so mapping them as buildings is not appropriate here.
