Hi, you have added many features within this construction zone, none of which exist anymore. I have deleted them.

In the editor, you can switch between different sources of aerial imagery. The one you used (LINZ Aerial Imagery) is 6 years out of date for this part of Auckland

Hi, OpenStreetMap is only for permanent features, we don't map temporary things like events

hi, there's a known issue in the editor that roads show up as disconnected even when they're fine. Everything looks good here, thanks for your edit

es gibt keine Bank (💵) hier, Ich habe den Punkt gelöscht. Wenn es eine Parkbank (🪑) hier gibt dann kann jemand eine neuen punkt hinzufügen

133509261

thanks, fixed

yep I agree. I haven't added the paths back, I've just created an empty line which identifies the feature as 'damaged/destroyed by cyclone gabrielle'
for example: way/1153187058 - this is helpful for a variety of reasons, one of which is that these features can be reviewed more regularly, and you can quickly get an overview of everything damanged by the cyclone, e.g. via https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/1shu

thanks for your edit! I've made some minors tweaks so that the road & path are categorized as cyclone-damaged. this will prevent the temporary closure from being forgotten about, so someone can eventually mark it as reopen

because the track closed more than 4 years ago, I think it's plausable that there are very few traces left

Instead of deleting a feature, another option is to change the tag `highway=path` to `was:highway=path`. This way, anyone who edits here in the future can see the history of the path and any previous discussions

To do this you'll need to use the advanced tag editor in the bottom left corner after you select the track.

Hi, 4 years ago someone updated this track, saying "Track closed - Kauri dieback".

So I think it's appropriate that the track is marked as access=no

hey, you might want to check out https://kyle.kiwi/iD/#background=gabrielle2&map=19.53/-39.56104/176.92280 - I've added the high resolution aerial imagery from days after the cyclone. it will take quite a while before this imagery makes it into the official version of iD

hey, i'm guessing you mean way/1047784277 - i'll DM you some photos when i get a chance. it's a pretty weird place, this is the only info i could find online: https://urbexcentral.com/2014/09/22/undercity-house-beneath-the-hotel

thanks for your edit, it's much appreciated

perfect, thanks for confirming

hey, on node/8004486862 you added `emergency=fire_sprinklers` - could you please help me understand what this tag means?

There is a recently approved tag system which might help in this situation: emergency=fire_service_inlet

thanks for your edit, i fixed the multipolygon "issue". I don't use JOSM but in iD a point goes grey if there are multiple lines joined to that point. You can select a point and press ⌘ ⬆️ to see all lines joined to that point. presumably JOSM has a similar feature.

Hi, `tunnel=pipe` isn't valid. You might notice that the underground streams now look the same as overground streams. It should either be:

`waterway=stream` + `tunnel=culvert`

or

`man_made=pipeline` + `substance=water` + `location=underground` + `oneway=yes`

hey, it seems like NSI has been configured to ban names which contain the branch. This is something we can change, BNZ has already been changed to allow any name.

what do you think?

oops, wrong account

Hi, there's nothing wrong with platforms and footpaths overlapping - this is actually quite important, because some navigation software will only direct people along roads and paths, not platforms (nor along piers/jettys).

Here's an example of this at Manurewa Station, where the more logical route would be to walk along the platform: osm.org/directions?engine=fossgis_valhalla_foot&route=-37.02371%2C174.89689%3B-37.02309%2C174.89602#map=19/-37.02336/174.89604

Hi, please see comments at changeset/131630301 - same thing for these two lines - they were separate because one had `lanes=1` and the other had `lanes=2`

Same with changeset/131629529 - the tunnel had `maxheight=4.63` and `covered=yes`. now both features have `covered=no` and `maxheight=4.63` which doesn't seem right
