heya, are you planning to move all the bus route relations onto Albert Street too? i was about to do a bulk update, but then saw that you've been recently editing the stops, so i wanted to check with u first

174750057

thanks for the info, very helpful! these ones are correct now:
• 4999/IMEX: relation/19873095
• 4958/Trajan St: relation/19847239
• CCPIWE01: relation/19873096
• QUBE noref: relation/19873097

but now we have another puzzle, you said DJLU should be 4998, but it's currently mapped as 4514: relation/19713913 - do you have any more details about 4514 ?

174750057

hey, this one is actually 4958. There is another set of TfNSW lights slightly futher south which was unmapped until now. Maybe that one is 4999? relation/19873095

Hi, could you please use descriptive changeset comments? See osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments

In this edit, it seems like you deleted part of several multipolygons, but it's not clear what you were trying to achieve from the changeset comment

thanks for the response. there are still several problems:

1. openstreetmap does not map business's in people's private homes, only brick-and-mortar offices/shops. this means there needs to be some sort of signage on the ground for visitors.

2. the business's website deliberately does not list the address, presumably to respect the privacy of the owner. We should only add this if the business chooses to publish their address, which they have not done. Their facebook page and website are both deliberately vague regarding their address.

see osm.wiki/Mapping_private_information for more info

Hi, please read the comments on your previous edits. It would be even better if you could reply...

Hi, please see osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments , if you type nonsense into the textbox then everyone has to waste their time checking exactly what you changed

feel free to delete it, I would trust the note over old my edits, this area was still in the midst of a construction zone back then.

construction finished in March 2025 https://www.timeout.com/sydney/news/a-stunning-new-three-kilometre-walking-track-has-just-opened-in-sydney-031725

Hi, this section can't be a motorway since it has traffic lights. so I think the previous tag was correct?

expressway=* has a confusing name but that tag is designed for exactly this situation

hii, could you have a look at this note please? note/5009878 there's a question about the barnes dance at Queen Street/K Road

hi, thanks for your edits! At the moment, these signals don't render on OpenRailwayMap because they are missing descriptive tags.

here's a local example of how it should be rendered: https://openrailwaymap.app/#view=15.69/-36.848366/174.778436&style=signals

If you know what these signals look like, you can find the corresponing tags on this page: osm.wiki/New_Zealand/Railways

172602919

cool, thanks for confirming! just wanted to check, since this tag combination is usually a mistake

172738052

yeah I wasn't sure either, was wondering if you had any insight. for this one in Tekapo I tagged it as 'stockyard' but it also didn't feel right way/387478315

172695372

seems like the signs use a different name (osm.wiki/File:Waimarino_National_Park_Railway_Station_2023.jpg) , should we use alt_name instead of official_name to stop these back-and-forth edits?

172738052

nice work! should we tag the whole area as farmyard=stockyard ? not sure if that tag applies

172602919

Hi, bicycle=destination means that you can only cycle here if you're final destination is within this block of streets. i.e., you can't use these roads as a shortcut. See access=destination

just confirming that this is what you intended? it seems quite unusual, i've never seen such a sign in NZ

172509319

thanks :)

172501732

Hi, does this business really have two diferent shops less than 200m apart?

172509319

Hi, thanks for your edits, I suggest you change your language from en-US to en-NZ (go to osm.org/preferences/advanced )

to avoid linguistic confusion about 'footpath' vs 'sidewalk'. Paths alongside roads should use the preset called 'sidewalk'

172327074

I think you should start a discussion on the forum about this (https://c.osm.org ), currently in NZ, the start point for motorways uses the point where grade separation starts, not where the official sign is.

Whether this is a good idea, I'm not sure. so it would be good to start a discussion on the forum and then be consistent nation-wide
